Quand a commencé l'organisation du salon Création et Savoir-faire, grand salon national du DIY qui a lieu à Paris fin novembre chaque année, j'ai eu envie de réaliser un épisode sur les coulisses du salon.
Après avoir sollicité l'organisation du salon, ils ont adhéré au projet et m'ont soutenu et aidé à organiser cet épisode avec toutes les personnes que je souhaitais rencontrer.
Pour cette seconde partie, j'ai donc eu envie de rencontrer l'équipe du Magazine Marcie-Claire Idées, grand partenaire historique du salon, la société organisatrice du salon et une entrepreneuse qui propose des ateliers pendant le salon.
Le salon CSF, c'est porte de Versailles à Paris du 29/11 au 03/12.

In Part 2, Luke and I discuss the esoteric connections and intersections with the figures of Blake and Ginsberg. We talk about in the influence of Emmanuel Swedenborg and Gnosticism on the worldviews of both Blake and Ginsberg, how Ginsberg saw Buddhism and Gnosticism as being connected in a syncretic way, and what contemporary artists could be viewed as ‘carrying on the Blakean torch’ in our own popular culture.
Dr Luke Walker has published widely on the intersections between British Romantic poetry, American counterculture, and esotericism.

James Rovira (2018), “Allen Ginsberg’s ‘Wales Visitation’ as a neo-Romantic response to Wordsworth’s ‘Tintern Abbey’”, in Romanticism journal (2013), and “Allen Ginsberg’s Blakean Albion,” in Comparative American Studies journal (2013). Most recently, Luke co-edited a special issue of the Bulletin of the John Rylands Library, on “The Artist of the Future Age: William Blake, Neo-Romanticism, Counterculture and Now” (2022).
He is now writing a book entitled William Blake and Allen Ginsberg: Romanticism, Counterculture and Radical Reception.

In the bleak midwinter, the sun scarcely seems to rise in Denmark at all.
Is it any wonder, then, that the Danes are so obsessed with good lighting? That Denmark has produced many of the world’s most iconic lights? That Danes have the world’s highest consumption of candles? Or that light is fundamental to the country’s best known cultural phenomenon, hygge?
In (hopefully) the most illuminating episode of Archipelago yet, we discuss the light fantastic with three Danish design devotees: artist Morten Ravn, who turns scrap metal into sculptural lamps; interior designer Hannah Trickett, whose rare health condition means she avoids what she describes as “visual chaos”; and author Malene Lytken, whose new book, Danish Lights: 1920–Now, tells the stories of 100 lamps and the Danish designers who created them.
