We Royally Messed up With This Trivia!

We Royally Messed up With This Trivia!
Annabelle and Sadie are back after a long summer full of heaps of sun, lots of fun, and many tears while saying goodbye to Caroline :( (who is off at college!) Annabelle and Sadie test their knowledge of the royal family, a category chosen by Caroline after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Despite the fact that Annabelle lived in London and has (apparently) seen the Queen, they don't do too well. They then try to redeem themselves by doing some British pop culture trivia, which is mostly British work etiquette for some reason. With a vow to choose a topic at least one of them is more knowledgeable about next time, The First Period Crew signs off with the promise of more fun next week.

Stay Dirty. Stay Moderate: God Save the King

In the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death, Prince Charles now ascends the throne and fulfills his destiny to become King Charles III. In the 20th installment of Stay Dirty, Stay Moderate, Adam employs Mike Bartlett's 2014 play "King Charles III" to explore how an often publicly opinionated and activist Prince Charles may rule as King, despite 75 years of his beloved  mother's quiet and neutral approach to politics. All of this ahead of our “Why Vote?” campaign launching next week! (we love a good tease) And don’t forget: Vote.org, Vote.org, Vote.org! Get registered to vote if you’re not already and register everyone you know. You can even help them figure out where they're nearest voting location is and when they can vote! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

    The Crown Season 3

    The Crown Season 3
Dear loyal subjects, it is finally time to talk about The Crown! We've got feelings about season 3, the monarchy, and the fine fine line between prestige dramas and sad boi lion sex made-for-tv movies. There's also plenty of recast talk, including lamenting the loss of a Wine Matthew and gaining the good and great Tobias Menzies (we for sure do not have a Tobias Bias). If you would like to congratulate us for successfully recording an episode in the same place at the same time for the same reason, please do so by giving us a 5-star review!

    The Peopling of Australasia/Lady Death

    The Peopling of Australasia/Lady Death

The pilot episode of Podding Through Time begins with a variety of interesting topics:

    •  What was the truth about Marco Polo and did he really hold high office in Mongol China?
    •  When did the first people arrive in Australia and New Guinea and what do we know about them?
    •  Who was "Lady Death," the most successful female sniper in history?
    •  What can the start of the Spanish-American War tell us about our modern political affairs?
    •  What role does the British monarchy have in Commonwealth nations such as Canada and Australia?
