James Johnson Episode 1 – My Broken Family

Coach James Johnson is the defensive line coach for the Calvert High School football team. He came from a broken family in which his parents divorced when he was 12 years old. Raised in the “hood,” he could have followed others to a life of drugs and other illicit activity on his street. However, his mother’s values prevailed along with a teacher and his police officer football coach, who were all three instrumental in his life to instill values and courage. He is passing forward his life experiences with high school students and student-athletes.

Episode 66 - Encyclopedia of Dating : His name was 'The D word'
This podcast usually focused on dating and relationships and marriage...but we rarely talk about divorce, and seeing as the world is in turmoil (and a pandemic) and relationships are falling apart faster than Trump's twitter fingers... I think it's about time we discuss the D word. The doctor and I were raised with out family, and culture's view on divorce and we were taught that it was wrong, unfathomable, and only done by those who given up on marriage and are escaping it. Well we have come a long way since then, so take a listen to our pod today and let us know your thoughts about divorce. Has your reasoning and justification of it changed over time? Do you have parents who are divorced? Do you wish your parents were divorced? Would you ever get a divorce? Can you see the positives and negatives of such a large decision? The discussion continues...
