Salut à tous ! Cette semaine dans MUTEKI, on dévoile la soluce du "Mini DJ God", la version light du petit quizz musical, que nous vous avions présenté début septembre. Et puis LEO nous dévoile les paroles de la célèbre chanson "Angel Night" de PSY-S, iconique générique de la 2e saison de NICKY LARSON. Enfin, côté musique, AURE SENPAI nous propose des idols aux sonorités quelques peu Latino, et l'on évoque aussi la collaboration entre BUCK-TICK et YOW-ROW, du groupe GARI, que nous avons interviewé par le passé à plusieurs reprises. Et 6 ans après le précédent volet, la difficulté est toujours la même: trop de choix parmi les groupes et artistes qui font ou ont fait partie de ce mouvement, très reconnaissable dans ses codes vestimentaires et capillaires, mais aussi passionnant qu'éclectique musicalement. Au menu de ce mix: des grands anciens, des musiciens déjà venus en France, et 2 groupes féminins. Bonne écoute !

This week, we invite you to a brand new Mix dedicated to the Visual Kei movement. And 6 years after the first one, we're facing the same difficulty: Too much choice ! Once again, we've picked up some of the best representatives of this genre, highly recognizable when it comes to haircuts and jackets, but very eclectic and musically fascinating. Salut à tous ! Pas de MUTEKI en direct en FM cette semaine. Comme toujours, à la place, nous vous avons préparé un petit mix d'une heure avec un thème différent à chaque fois. Et ce samedi, on continue notre triptyque sur les années en 8 : Après 1998, remontons 10 ans en arrière ! En 1988, les idols et les boys bands sont en haut de l'affiche et, tout au sommet, trône le groupe HIKARU GENJI, boys band qui sera plus tard accompagné de jeunes choristes et danseurs qui seront à leur tour lancés dans le grand bain sous le nom de SMAP... Chez les filles, la reine SEIKO MATSUDA (qui sort cette année-là une chanson sur Marrakech) est contestée par de nombreuses concurrentes, dont la toute jeune SHIZUKA KUDO. Côté animation, NICKY LARSON ne craint effectivement personne à la télé, tandis que le réalisateur Hideaki Anno, bien avant Evangelion et Godzilla, se fait la main sur GUNBUSTER, et que les CHEVALIERS DU ZODIAQUE partent à Asgard, le temps d'un film. Le succès de ce dernier sera tel que les chevaliers d'Odin seront réutilisés pour la série principale... 1988, c'est aussi une grande année pour le jeu vidéo, avec, la même année, Super Mario Bros 2 aux USA et (déjà !) Super Mario Bros 3 au Japon, alors que Sega lance la MEGADRIVE, succès mitigé à domicile mais carton en devenir dans le reste du monde... Enfin, musicalement, une nouvelle scène émerge : le Visual Kei ! X JAPAN sort son premier album "Vanishing Visions", mais cette année-là, c'est BUCK-TICK qui récolte les honneurs, notamment celui du "Meilleur nouveau visage" aux Japan Records Awards. Hi everybody ! No MUTEKI live on air on FM this week. Instead, we have made a 1-hour mixtape, and today this one will get you back to 1988 ! This was a time when idols, boys bands and synthetizers ruled the musical world, and HIKARU GENJI were the one on top of all that, a band whose backing dancing crew would eventually get their chance into the spotlights, the following year, as SMAP... Meanwhile, the queen of idols SEIKO MATSUDA was facing a whole lot of challengers, from fellow celebrity Miho Nakayama to newcomer SHIZUKA KUDO. On TV also, CITY HUNTER and SAINT SEIYA were among the main series on screen, the latter also had its momentum on the silver screen, with a movie taking place in Asgard. The film was so successful that the producers went on creating a whole season in the land of the knights of Odin ! ... 1988 is also a great year for the video gaming industry, as Sega unveiled its powerful Megadrive/Genesis console, and Nintendo launched (the same year !) a second episode of Super Mario Bros in the US and a third one in Japan (we, in Europe, would have to wait for that one until late 1991 !). And, last but not least, some new faces & sounds begin to get out of the underground musical scene in 1988 : The VISUAL KEI bands, with X (JAPAN)'s first album "Vanishing Visions", but also BUCK-TICK's first mainstream success and first award (Best New Face) at the Japan Record annual ceremony. Salut à tous ! 1994, c'est l'année du premier album de HIDE, dont nous fêtons les 20 ans de la tragique disparition avec un titre issu, donc, de cet excellent disque, dont l'image de couverture est inspirée de H.R Giger, rien que ça. 1994, c'est aussi l'acte de naissance du Hip-hop auprès du grand public japonais, avec, simultanément, le premier album d'un futur grand nom du milieu (DJ Krush), mais aussi, le premier single à dépasser le million d'exemplaire : l'improbable DA YO NE, rencontre entre un collectif Rap et une... Idol ! Au menu cette semaine, des sonorités plus actuelles, avec une musique iconique de BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA et des singles récemment sortis de MIKA NAKASHIMA et BUCK-TICK. Enfin, un peu de magie dans la playlist : découvrons ensemble un extrait du nouvel album de MANU, en mode acoustique, dispo dans les bacs et en version digitale. Bonne écoute !

Let's hear one of its tracks as we pay tribute to this iconic singer and guitarist who passed away 20 years ago. 1994 is also the year Hip-hop came under the spotlights ! As DJ Krush & his friends were paving the way for many talented, worldwide renown beatmakers & MCs, EAST END and former idol YURI ICHII chose to profess this brand new musical genre to the mainstream audience, via this unlikely (and million-seller) single DA YO NE ! In MUTEKI this week also, a couple of more recent sounds from MIKA NAKASHIMA & BUCK-TICK, and one of the most iconic BGM songs from MY HERO ACADEMIA.
