    Erin Rae (Singer Songwriter)

Welcome to Roadcase!! We're super psyched to have Erin Rae on the show.  Erin's new album, Lighten Up, is a wonderful Tour de Force acclaimed by Rolling Stone Magazine as a "stunning collection of psych-folk and West Coast roots pop." Produced by Jonathan Wilson, Erin has been anointed as part of the new Laurel Canyon sound, and her cosmic country vibes combine seamlessly with her down-home Tennessee roots.  Erin has been on an absolute tear since shows came back over the summer, playing at Red Rocks in support of Caamp, touring in support of Dawes the past Fall, performing last summer at Newport Folk, and is currently on tour in Australia with Courtney Marie Andrews. She'll also be on the road with Watchhouse coming up this Spring!! Erin is an exceptional human and spins deeply personal tales, weaving her own experiences into a gorgeous musical tapestry highlighted by her unique and extraordinary vocal talents. She is the real deal!!  So hop on the Roadcase bus and learn more about this bright and shining star, Erin Rae. It's gonna be a great ride!

Episode 59: Folk Music Festival Featuring the Riverside

Episode 59: Folk Music Festival Featuring the Riverside

Neo-folk has been a force on the music charts for years now, with bands like the Head and the Heart and the Lumineers leading the charge. The Riverside, a rising indie folk band out of Santa Barbara, Calif., is working hard to reach those same heights, taking a decidedly unique approach to get there. Hear their story and music on this week’s KMB, along with a stellar lineup of classic and contemporary folk artists, including Fleet Foxes, Caamp, Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie.

    Episode 32 - Evan Westfall - A CAAMP Tale

    Episode 32 - Evan Westfall - A CAAMP Tale

In Episode 32, I speak with the multi-instrumentalist and Columbus, Ohio native Evan Westfall, known for and wide as the banjo player and co-founder of the folk powerhouse CAAMP. Evan and I chat about playing for humans, young and new love, his straightforward path to being a professional musician, and the brotherhood that keeps CAAMP heading in a storied trajectory. In this week's wrap-up, Crystal and I discuss the history of The Newport Folk Festival, Albert Grossman and Coen Brother's movies, T Bone Burnett and Marcus Mumford.  Please enjoy Evan, and I's conversation discussing some of the critical factors that have gotten Ev to now.

    Episode 19 - Taylor Meier - CAAMP

    Episode 19 - Taylor Meier - CAAMP

In this week's interview, I sit down with Taylor Meier. Taylor is the singer, songwriter, and co-founder of CAAMP. In today's episode, we look back at Taylor's start in music and the multiple influences driving CAAMP's sound.  We cover their meteoric rise on Spotify and the subsequent tour with Rainbow Kitten Surprise. CAAMP recently celebrated their 5-year anniversary as a band and recently got in the studio to record their fourth full-length album.  Taylor also has a side project Sumbuck, which released an album in 2020.  As the world and concert venues open back up, CAAMP will surely be back on the road in full force, and at five years in, this band seems to be at the beginning of its journey.  Please enjoy my interview with Mr. Taylor Meier
