We're kicking off a new season of the Behind the Wall podcast by interviewing our new host, Max Rohr! 

Max is the education and industry engagement manager with Caleffi North America. He began his manufacturing career at the Caleffi headquarters in Italy. Since then, he worked for several HVAC/P industry companies in the manufacturers' rep and wholesale distribution channels before returning to Caleffi in 2020.  Tune in to learn about his childhood growing up with parents Ellen and Bob 'Hot Rod' Rohr, why he chose to return to the industry as an adult, his passion for energy efficiency, and what he hopes to achieve with this podcast! 

Bob Rohr joins in as a co-host as he visited and held a training at the Steamfitters Local Union 449 in Harmony, Pa., just outside of Pittsburgh. Yet, there are some companies that have decided to invest during the pandemic, and we are seeing that as doors are starting to open back up for customer visits and training. One such visit was Rinnai, which has invested in domestic tankless manufacturing. You'll hear from Rinnai president, Frank Windsor. The team from Mechanical Hub Media is embarking on a series of podcasts to highlight the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the impact is has our our building trade communities. 

Our goal is simple, we want to raise money and share stories of organizations with boots on the ground serving meals, providing medical supplies, safe water and refugee relocation services to those in need. But to do so, we must amplify the voices of those most impacted by the crisis, Ukrainians.

As part 2 of our AHR Expo coverage, we talk with Hot Rod Rohr about his experience at the show. As the lead trainer at Caleffi, the company made the difficult decision to pull out of the show so Hot Rod got the chance to walk the show floor, and he was an AHR ambassador for juniors and seniors from a local high school. He gave them a tour of the show floor and gave them the AHR experience.
