Joseph Holt was a husband, father, realtor and community member who lived a double life. Today we go back to San Luis Obispo to get an update on the twenty five year long case of missing Cal Poly student, Kristin Smart. Then we pop all the way over to Philadelphia and hear about the first reported kidnap for ransom of Charlie Ross in 1876.

Today we go from the Easter Sunday Massacre in Ohio and back west to California and the Sadist of San Luis Obispo. 

The girls are back and ready to tell some true crime stories! We hear about the crazy tale of Dolly Oesterreich with the weirdest house guest of all time, and then we pop over to Houston, TX to hear about the murder of Diane Maxwell and how her brother was inspired to become a Police Officer to try and find her justice.

This week we are discussing the case of The Prophet Killer, or as Mike calls him, "The Wannabe Damn Dirty Hippy Tree Hugger Douche Bag Killer", from Santa Cruz, CA.  What caused this man to kill an entire family?  Was it drugs?  Was it mental illness?  Or did he really hear the voice of God telling him to cleanse the world of people who rape the environment?  Grab a beverage and join us as we enjoy beers from Steel Bonnet Brewing Co., and try to understand what the hell happened in this case!

Lake and Ng most likely killed over 25 people in central and northern California in the early 80s. Lake was a former Marine obsessed with preparing for a nuclear apocalypse, taking nude photos of as many women as possible, having sex with as many of those women as possible, and pursuing what he called, “Operation Miranda” - a sick plan based on the novel The Collector, that involved kidnapping young women to imprison and train to be sex slaves. And his murder-buddy, Charles Ng, was arguably scarier than he was. And now one of these men is dead and the other is in prison for life.
