California Commons is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale fermentation temperatures. It was made famous by Anchor Brewing Company. It's an interesting attempt at the style. Oceanbryggeriet likes to do cask ales and traditional styles. Special Strong Ale is an English Strong Ale. This style is a malty, lightly hopped and bitter ale with a bit of alcohol warmth. This one comes in at 7.2% ABV and fits the bill.
