    In 1979, over five months, Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris carried out a reign of terror in Los Angeles County. They abducted, raped and subjected five teenage girls to horrifying torture using a collection of disturbing items from their toolbox. On Halloween night that year, they targeted their fifth and last victim, 16-year-old Shirley Lynette Ledford, whose haunting screams are forever preserved on an audio recording made during her final hours. Lucinda Lynn Schaefer, Andrea Joy Hall, Jackie Doris Gilliam and Jacqueline Leah Lamp's murders have also been highlighted in this episode.
