Portland Headlight is the most photographed lighthouse in America and also the oldest in Maine. Fort Williams has an amazing history. We are going to go into some really interesting facts about Fort Williams as well as Portland Headlight.  Also, there are a ton of activities to do at Fort Williams today including a museum, lighthouse, beach, playground, forts, children's garden, the cliff walk, and fantastic views of Cape Elizabeth.     Why we live in Cape Elizabeth Maine | Update 2 years later!

    In this week's episode, we are going to talk about 3 reasons why we still live in Cape Elizabeth Maine. We did a video on this a couple of years ago we did a video on why we live in Cape Elizabeth and we wanted to do an update and go into why we stuck around! We have three kids and having them live in Cape Elizabeth has been fantastic. They love their school and we have been nothing but happy with the Cape Elizabeth school system. Cape Elizabeth has an amazing sense of community that we all really love. Another thing we really like about Cape Elizabeth is that it is a waterfront community. We love the Beach and Cape Elizabeth is the place to go to the beach! Also, Cape Elizabeth has an amazing trail system that we have grown to love. You need to check it out if you have a chance. Being outside in the Cape has become a big part of our lives. We especially love Great Pond and the great winter sports that you can experience there! It is close to Portland for an easy commute, close to the Saco Biddeford area, and close to the lake region. Geographically Scarborough is large but depending on where you live you can be close to wherever your job is located. Next we talk about the AMAZING beaches, and marshes in Scarborough. You can take in beautiful views from Higgins Beach, Scarborough Beach, Ferry Beach, and Pine Point Beach. Scarborough's fantastic coastline is a major plus of living there. Also Scarborough has a fantastic section of the Eastern Trail. The Eastern Trail is a 65 Mile trail that runs through Southern Maine. If you are looking for a great trail to get out and bike, hike, or run it’s a major perk of living in Scarborough. These are our three reasons why you should move to Scarborough!     For Mental Health Awareness Month we speak with Dr. Carrie Hastings & Brianne Gallagher about the importance of mental health & wellness and the impact it has on us that we don't actively recognize. 

    Dr. Carrie Hastings is a sports psychologist and is the mental health clinician for the Los Angeles Rams. Brianne Gallagher is a K-5 school counselor at Pond Cove Elementary School in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
