Rupert Wyatt's, CAPTIVE STATE, is a hard science-fiction film that takes the well-worn trope of alien invasion and gives us another perspective on how such a thing might actually feel if the aliens won and actually DID take over the earth . How would we really react? Would some people surrender and allow themselves to be exploited by these entities who seem to only want to exploit the planet and destroy the environment? And despite the dire situation, would there still be people fighting to defend humanity from the anti-human? Whose side are you on? And how do you tell if someone can be trusted? CAPTIVE STATE isn’t the typical action-packed alien warfare film, but it’ll give you plenty to think about. And it’s one of those movies that might make you want to watch it again once you know how it ends. Starring John Goodman, Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors and Vera Farmiga.
