CCR 96: Jon Beason and The Minter View

CCR 96: Jon Beason and The Minter View
Episode 96 of Cat Crave Radio has arrived! The Carolina Panthers hired a new coach this week while a recently fired coach got a job elsewhere. We have the details. This week marks our first visit with Panthers middle linebacker Jon Beason! Jon talked to us about a number of topics including the Julius Peppers flap from last season, the Pro Bowl snub, Ron Meeks, Thomas Davis and how he has grown as a person since his days at The U. It’s an excellent conversation. Our thanks to Jon for taking time out of his off season to speak to us. Legendary Panther Mike Minter was back for another installment of The Minter View. With the season in the record books, we talked about the most surprising player, most disappointing player, team needs and more. Mike provided us with the same knowledge and passion we’ve come to expect from one of our team’s all-time greats. Nick Yeoman of You Tube was back with us for The Panther Preview. This week we got a closer look at the linebackers. For some reason, our scores don’t match up very well. One of us is a little generous while the other grades like Simon Cowell. The Sound Off segment covers the answers we received on the previous Question of the Week – Who should be the Panthers MVP for the 2009 season? Maybe we stumped everybody and maybe we bored you. We’re not sure. But we received only one call this week. GK, you da man! While we’re are it, don’t forget the Question of the Week for next week – What is the team’s biggest area of need this off season? Call us on the CCR Hotline at 206-350-9673 and leave a message. We’ll play all the answers we get on next week’s show. It’s all in the latest episode. Check it out and feel free to comment below. CCR 94: Guest Darin Gantt & The Minter View 0

CCR 94: Guest Darin Gantt & The Minter View 0
We are back with Episode 94 of Cat Crave Radio! The first week of the off season for the Carolina Panthers ended with potentially more questions than we began with. Is John Fox staying or going? What about Julius Peppers? We try to make some sense of it all.

Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald was with us to discuss the Fox situation, Peppers, Rip Scherer and Danny Crossman. Darin provides us with his boots-on-the-ground knowledge.

Legendary Carolina Panther Mike Minter was back in the house for The Minter View. What else did we talk about except for Fox, Peppers (don’t miss Mike’s thoughts on Julius’ value) and whether agents have too much control over the business of the NFL.

Nick Yeoman of You Tube joined us to provide the fans’ perspective. We began our team break down with the secondary in The Panther Preview (we can’t seem to come up with another name even though the season is over and there’s no game to preview). Nick also took part in another edition of Boom Or Bust as well as Pick ‘Em.

The Sound Off segment this week covers the calls we received on the previous Question of the Week – Will Julius Peppers be back and do you want him back? It’s surprising what you’ll hear.

While we’re are it, don’t forget the Question of the Week for next week – If John Fox doesn’t return for next season who, besides Bill Cowher, would you want to be the Panthers next head coach? That’s right! No Cowher. Call us on the CCR Hotline at 206-350-9673 and leave a message. We’ll play all the answers we get on next week’s show.

It’s all in the latest episode. Check it out and feel free to comment below.

    CCR 86: Atlanta Review/Miami Preview

    CCR 86: Atlanta Review/Miami Preview
Cat Crave Radio is back with Episode 86! The Carolina Panthers have to be feeling pretty good after defeating a division rival in the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. But they have to move quickly since Thursday will see them hosting the Miami Dolphins. We have complete reviews and previews. Tom Sorensen of the Charlotte Observer was back with us to discuss the team. The loss of Jordan Gross is a painful blow. We discuss this among many other topics regarding our favorite team. As always, Tom brings his years of knowledge in covering the Panthers to the show. We introduce a new segment this week called Around the Web – a chance to hear from others out there covering the Panthers regularly. This week’s guest visits with us from across the pond – Elliot Ford of NFL Review UK. There’s another installment of Sound Off. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Losing increases the call volume. Winning seems to make it kind of quiet. Take a listen. Nick Yeoman was in the house for The Panther Preview, Boom Or Bust and Pick ‘Em. Ain’t it always wonderful when Nick provides his awesome-ness to the show? Don’t forget to take a peak at the videos he puts up on You Tube. It’s all in the latest episode. CCR 85: New Orleans Review/Atlanta Preview

CCR 85: New Orleans Review/Atlanta Preview
We are back with Episode 85 of Cat Crave Radio! The loss to the New Orleans Saints puts our Carolina Panthers at 3-5 with the Atlanta Falcons coming to town. We have complete reviews and previews. Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald joined us for a discussion of the team – Jake Delhomme, Dwayne Jarrett and John Fox were among the topics. And I am still trying to get off as cheaply as I can on our bet. With the Falcons heading for Charlotte this Sunday, we had to check in with our Enemy Sean McNally of Blogging Dirty. Sean is a die-hard Falcons fan who tells us what to expect from his favorite team. There is another edition of Sound Off on tap as callers continue to dish out some frustration on Jake and Fox. And, for the first time, we have a crank caller. This one apparently came from a Saints fan. (It’s unedited so be warned that the kids may not need to hear this one!) Nick Yeoman of You Tube was back for The Panther Preview, Boom Or Bust and Pick ‘Em. We are glad that Nick could bless us with his awesome-ness! (Check it out and you’ll see! There’s even a tribute to just how awesome he is included in the show. Ya’ gotta hear this one!) Oh, yeah, one more thing…you can now subscribe to our show on iTunes! CCR 82: Tampa Bay Review/Buffalo Preview
We are back with Episode 82 of Cat Crave Radio! The Carolina Panthers pulled out the victory Sunday versus Tampa Bay. Now, it’s back home to play Buffalo. We have complete reviews and previews. Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports joined us to provide some insights on the Panthers. This is an interesting conversation covering a wide range of topics Panthers legend Mike Minter was back for another installment of The Minter View. Mike was rather candid with us about Steve Smith, John Fox and Jon Beason. You don’t want to miss this one! Nick Yeoman of You Tube was back to give us the fans’ perspective as only he can. Has he patched things up with Jake Delhomme? Don’t bet on it after that pick-6 on Sunday. Nick also throws in his thoughts on Boom Or Bust and Pick ‘Em. Another caller joined in the fun as we present Sound Off. What’s the topic? That won’t be hard to guess. It’s all in the latest episode. Check it out and feel free to comment below. CCR 81: Washington Review/Tampa Bay Preview

CCR 81: Washington Review/Tampa Bay Preview
Episode 81 of Cat Crave Radio is here! The Carolina Panthers picked up their first victory of the season Sunday versus the Washington Redskins. We have a recap along with a full preview of the upcoming game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald joined us this week. Again, we talked about Julius Peppers, the offensive line and a whole lot more. And, of course, I’m eating crow thanks to the wager I made with Darin during training camp. The enemy this week is Tampa Bay so our old frenemy Dustin Staggers of The Pewter Plank was with us to help preview the game. Take a listen and you’ll hear how hard things have been for Bucs fans this season. It’ll sort of make you glad you’re a Panthers fan. Nick Yeoman joined in to give the fans’ perspective once again. We’re still hoping that Nick can patch things up with Jake Delhomme soon! Nick also took part in another installment of Boom Or Bust as well as a Pick ‘Em segment. Our first call came in on the CCR Hotline so there’s a Sound Off segment in there. We also threw in another installment of Millionaire dedicated to our favorite million-dollar man, Julius Peppers It’s all right here. CCR 80: Washington Preview/Guest – Ross Tucker
Cat Crave Radio is back with Episode 80! The bye week has come and gone. Let’s hope that things turn around from here for the Carolina Panthers. Up next, is a home date with the Washington Redskins. we have a complete preview. Ross Tucker joined us for another conversation. We discussed Jake Delhomme, Julius Peppers, John Fox and generally covered it all. Ross is a great guest and a wealth of information. The Enemy this week comes from the Nation’s Captial and representing them is Jim Giddings of Riggo’s Rag. We got some excellent inside information from him. Nick Yeoman of You Tube was back for another ride. We discussed the team in depth once again. It’s always good therapy. He also stuck around for Boom Or Bust and Pick ‘Em. CCR 77: Eagles Review/Falcons Preview
Cat Crave Radio is back with Episode 77! We’re all trying to recover after the Carolina Panthers horrible loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Let’s hope this show helps. The best news we got all week was the return of Tom Sorensen of the Charlotte Observer. His last visit with us was back in February so it was good to have him back. We talked about Jake Delhomme (of course!) and where this team goes from here. Sean McNally of Blogging Dirty was with us filling the role of the Enemy. Sean gave us the Falcons‘ perspective on the upcoming divisional showdown. Nick Yeoman was back to provide the Panthers fan’s view of how the Falcons game might go. We had to talk him down off the ledge first. We also included another edition of Boom Or Bust as well as a Pick ‘Em segment. Thanks for listening! Enjoy!

    CC 74: Miami Recap/Media Survey

Unfortunately, it was worse than that as key injuries continued to hit the team. We have a recap. Also in this episode, we had the rare opportunity to survey five of the best known sports journalists covering the team. We spoke to Charles Chandler, David Scott and Tom Sorensen of the Charlotte Observer, Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette and Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald. We got some interesting answers. This show also breaks down a running wager between myself and Darin Gantt. One I’m confident I will win. It’s all in the show!
