    #26 - Cait Willson

    #26 - Cait Willson

In the 26th Episode of No Name Fame...

Okay, I "geeked out" for this one, and had and STILL HAVE butterflies in my stomach from the conversation I had with this friend. It's been about a year since I last got the chance to actually talk with Cait for a while. THAT was before COVID...

Cait worked at CFX before I started working there, during my Senior year of High-School. She taught me all my duties and showed me - as they say - the tools of the trade! IMMEDIATELY, Cait and I meshed, and ever since... every conversation we've had together - has been a memory in itself.

Episode 35: Cecil Hotel part 1 - Richard Ramirez

It’s week 35 and we are back and trying something new! This week we are covering the infamous, terrifying, and absolutely wackadoodle Cecil Hotel. Both of the stories for this week’s topic were just way to detailed to fit in one episode, but instead of doing halvesies and trying to remember what you heard the week before we are going to do the true crime this week and the paranormal next week. We may love it, we may hate it, but either way we will see how it goes!

One of the most notorious guests to ever call the Cecil home was none other than the garbage human Richard Ramirez, aka the Night Stalker. This serial killer went on a rampage in the 80’s with no discernible pattern, type, MO, whatever you want to call it. So join us as we check in for the first part of our stay, but don’t worry, it won’t be a long one, it’s too scary!

Israel Keyes + The Cecil Hotel

Israel Keyes + The Cecil Hotel

Welcome to the tenth episode of Wild Society!

This week’s case features the serial killer Israel Keyes. After using one of his victims’ debit cards around the country, Keyes was tracked down, arrested, and indicted for the murder of 18 year old Samantha Koenig. Keyes would confess to four murders but the FBI believes he had a total of eleven victims, based on the blood drawings they found in his jail cell.

In part two, we learn that nestled amongst the crowded streets of downtown Los Angeles lies one of the most famous hotels in the country… The Cecil Hotel. While one might think its famous for its glorious art deco architecture from the 1920s, or its early popularity amongst celebrities of the golden age of Hollywood, it is in fact known by most for its dark history of violence, murder, and suicide.

      Elisa Lam

      Elisa Lam

In 2013, residents of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles noticed a strange odor, look and taste to their tap water. A hotel worker found the cause of the murky, reddish water - the body of a young woman was floating in the rooftop water tank. Elisa Lam had gone missing from the hotel two weeks before, and the discovery of her body solved that mystery but raised more questions than it answered. How did she get there? We discuss the tragic death of Elisa Lam, issues surrounding her death investigation, and talk about a better way to remember her.
