I Am Not Ashamed Of My Child

I Am Not Ashamed Of My Child

Our son's first year of school was a little rough. Just three weeks into it, and already we were getting talked to by his teachers about his behavior. While appreciative of their insight, my insecurities flared up and caused trouble in our home. God graciously intervened and taught me how to stop feeling ashamed of my child and to start advocating for him. Looking for the beauty that God has placed in our children helps us fight off the worry and fear when they are struggling.

Parenting the Argumentative, Irritable, Angry Child
Parenting a child that constantly argues, is often moodly, and is generaly disagreeable is difficult and often feels impossible. Host Dawn Davenport, Executive Director of Creating a Family, the national adoption & infertility education and support organization interviewed Dr. Russell A. Barkley, a clinical professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
