Monica Eaton, CEO of Chargebacks911 | Episode 294

Monica Eaton, CEO of Chargebacks911 joins us to share her remarkable transition from interior design to leading a company that stands at the vanguard of dispute resolution. Her tale is not just about success; it's about the innovation and dedication that underpin it, and this episode promises a treasure trove of wisdom for anyone looking to disrupt their field.

Monica’s narrative is punctuated by reflections on her experience with chargebacks—a persistent problem that once threatened the sustainability of her online marketplace. Her personal campaign to understand the causes of chargebacks led to the founding of Chargebacks911.

Monica’s view on the joy of business building, her affinity for numbers, and the power of turning challenges into opportunities are the key elements propelling the flow of this episode's narrative. From her $76,000 project triumph to scaling businesses with savvy tech implementations, her journey underscores that the true rewards of entrepreneurship are not just in the victories, but in the exhilarating process of reaching them.

How Sahil Lavingia created the multi-million dollar company, Gumroad.

Gumroad has been around 11 years and more, and people have made tens of thousands of dollars selling digital products on Gumroad! But do you know, how Gumroad was founded?

In this episode, the founder and CEO of Gumroad, Sahil Lavingia who also invested in Clubhouse, Republic, and more, joined me to talk about his origin story and his road to creating Gumroad!

Sahil's origin story is fascinating, he was young and wanted to buy some Xbox games, so he started learning how to build websites to make money on the side. He then fell in love with building sites and apps, and eventually landed as the number 2 employee on Pinterest.

Like every great entrepreneur and inventor, Sahil built Gumroad because he had a problem selling his digital goods and services online, he saw the pain that the world need to be solved, so he took it upon himself and started Gumroad in  hope to help others to help their product online! And then, the rest is history!

    Monica Eaton-Cardone, COO & Co-Founder Chargebacks911 | Episode 14

This is episode 14 of the Leaders In Payments Podcast featuring my special guest this week, Monica Eaton-Cardone, the COO and Co-Founder of Chargebacks911.

Monica grew up mostly in Idaho in a small town of 22 people. She developed a great work ethic at a very early age and learned many life lessons through playing sports – more specifically basketball.

Chargebacks911 was truly born out of necessity. Monica owned an online business and started getting chargebacks so she decided to dig in and learn what they were and how to mitigate them. And then quickly learned there were others out there that needed help with the same thing – and thus Chargebacks911 was born.

Monica discusses in detail all of the services that Chargebacks911 provides its merchants and customers and provides some great insights into starting a career in payments.
