Duztin Watson’s military career has influenced his leadership style and mindset, but it’s not the only thing that defines him. In our conversation, he was clear to point out that his military experience is just one part of his lifelong journey, which has been characterized by many ups and downs along the way. The series of sales and business development roles he held after reacclimating to civilian life were instrumental to developing the confidence and skills he needed to start and build his own company.

Duztin knew that the security industry, which is defined by protecting human life and valuable property, was something that aligned with his interests and core beliefs. In 2012, he launched The RiP Group to provide the type of high-quality, high-touch security and related services that he believed was lacking in the marketplace.
