He’s been linked to the Giants. Rich Eisen said the Giants are done with Daniel Jones and have buyer’s remorse. Kirk Cousins has also been linked to the Falcons, as has Justin Fields. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Jason Kelce retiring. He got all choked up. Jerry went around the NBA and the NHL last night. Zack Wheeler met the media after signing a huge extension with the Phillies. In the final segment of the hour, what will Jason Kelce do in his retirement? Will he be a studio analyst during the NFL season? Maybe he would be good as a color analyst.

    Hour 2

A caller wonders why Big Zoo wouldn’t try out for the Mets dance team. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talking about Russell Wilson being released by the Broncos. Jerry has audio from Jason Kelce’s retirement press conference. He cried his way through it. Charles Barkley is not a fan of people wearing Donald Trump mugshot t-shirts. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if the Giants should bring in Russell Wilson for cheap. A caller wonders what Boomer’s motivation is to keep getting up early for radio and giving up weekends during football season. Boomer said it’s a great platform for The Boomer Esiason Foundation which is very important to him.

    Hour 3

A moose attacked an iditarod team and the musher had to kill and gut the moose. We talked about how large Moose really are when you are up close and personal with them. Remember that time when Mike Francesa said he ‘met’ Secretariat? Jerry returns for an update and starts with Jason Kelce retiring and crying his way through his speech. Braylon Edwards saved an 80 year old man from getting beat up by a 25 year old in a YMCA locker room. Tommy Luguaer called Evan Roberts an ass for celebrating the Jalen Brunson injury in a group text. Chris Russo gave his Mt Rushmore of sports media people. In the final segment of the hour, Shinesty, the ball hammock underwear company, sent us some products. A caller wonders if Boomer could still beat up a 25 year old if he had to. We also talked about Evan dying his beard every day for the next 3 weeks.

The Moment of The Day involves an ill-Boomer, the Rangers and Boomer’s take on Devils fans. In the final segment of the show, Gio contacted someone at the Mets about getting Big Zoo out to Citi-field to perform with the new Mets team. Callers continue to say Gio is not good at golf. Gio agrees, but he’s getting better every time he plays. Gio doesn’t brag about playing great. He just started golf about a year ago.

Losing Faith In The Knicks Because Of Injuries; Evan Roberts' New Book; Knicks Lose; Tyler Megill Working On New Pitch; Bob Costas Laughs A Lot; Congestion Pricing Complaints (Hour 1)

Gio is officially checking out of the Knicks right now. They have so many injuries and keep losing. Gio said he can never be happy as a NY sports fan. Boomer said they just have to hang on until the playoffs when they should have their injured players back. Gio said all this injury crap started last year with Edwin Diaz and Aaron Judge. Then Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander. Then Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones for our football teams. And now the injuries are killing the Knicks. Evan Roberts has a book called, ‘My Mets Bible’, and we discussed it. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the sounds from last night’s Knicks loss. Charles Barkley joined Instagram even though he said he would never go on social media. Tylor Megill is working on a ‘spork-ball’. Jerry has audio of Bob Costas from his old show, Later, with Richard Lewis as a guest. Costas was over the top laughing at things that weren’t even funny. Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Kevin Clancy, KFC from Barstool Sports, is in for Boomer today. He’s a huge Mets fan so Gio starts with the Mets offseason or lack thereof. We talked about Pete Alonso’s future with the Mets. We also talked about Frank The Tank’s Mets negativity. Mets fans were negative for so long in the Wilpon era and we all thought things would turn around in the Steve Cohen era. C-Lo is in for Jerry today and is here for his first update, but first we talked about how bad the new Fanatics/Nike uniforms are. The pants are see through, so you can see the tucked in jersey in the pants. C-Lo starts with Kodai Senga already experiencing arm fatigue in February. Evan Roberts was angry with the Mets and cannot say the word, ‘compartmentalize’. Rick Pitino finally apologized for calling out his players over the weekend.

    Hour 2

Rob Saleh seems to have no control over his players on social media. Sauce Gardner is now calling himself, ‘LaSauce’, and is playing GM. He is posting who he would be signing to the Jets if he were the GM. Kevin Clancy tells us he’s not a big uniform guy and doesn’t remember player numbers even the ones he’s watched forever. We also talked about Gio's love of 1,000 lb Sisters. They also both love Love Is Blind. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about needing a colostomy bag. Gio thinks Kevin Ollie looks like an evil magician because of the mustache and thin face. Rick Pitino finally apologized for attacking his players and saying they can’t move. Justin Fields explained why he unfollowed the Bears on Instagram. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Shane Gillis hosting SNL even though they fired him before he started working there.

    Hour 3

Craig Carton reported that the thing going on with the Eagles locker room would fracture any relationship. Adam Schefter was on the radio in Philadelphia and pretty much said this is tabloid journalism. Kevin Clancy just remembered he forgot to tell his Mom he was hosting with Gio today. He also didn’t tell her to turn the Mets game on when Johan Santana was throwing a no hitter. They also talked about what it’s like when you first have children and how it changes your life. There should be some sort of test to be able to have children. A caller said he was playing craps in a casino in Florida and Eli Manning was right next to him at the next table. We also talked about Dana White betting an insane amount of money at the tables. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Knicks injuries as we come out of the All Star break. Charles Barkley said of Kevin Durant, ‘Kevin’s a follower, he’s not a leader’. KD responded saying these guys on tv need to fill segments with negativity. Rick Pitino finally apologized for his comments over the weekend where he went after his players. We talked about Eddie going to sleep at 5pm during the week. Nick Saban is out of coaching but he doesn’t want to stay home and just watch Netflix. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Dave Portnoy and his newly adopted dog, ‘Miss Peaches’. We cringed at his ‘Miss Peaches’ voices that he uses to talk to her.

    Hour 4

Scottie Pippen, Luc Longley, and Horace Grant are going on tour to dispute some of the things presented in The Last Dance documentary. They are calling it ‘The No Bull’ Tour. We talked about friction when you’re on a team like the Bulls experienced. It happened at Barstool and it has happened at WFAN over the years. Gio wonders who best stood up to Dave Portnoy over the years. Gio wonders if Portnoy likes to be challenged. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the arm fatigue of Kodai Senga. And yes, arm fatigue in February. The Moment of The Day includes an older caller who wanted to be quizzed on Brooklyn Dodgers uniform numbers. In the final segment of the show, we get breaking news that David Stearns is going to address the media to talk about the Kodai Senga arm fatigue. That sounds like it’s terrible news.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Jerry is in for Boomer so it’s Gio & Jerry today. We start with the fact that we are never going to get the audio from the Andy Reid/Travis Kelce sideline argument. Inside The NFL did not show it, they just glossed right over it. Gio said if it was George Kittle and Kyle Shanahan, we would have seen and heard the audio. The NY Post hired a lip reader who claimed Kelce said, ‘hey c’mon you F’er, put me on’. Why is the NFL keeping the audio from their audience? The NFL seems to be protecting Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.  C-Lo is here for his first update and starts with Aaron Judge meeting the media and talking about his toe. Judge also thinks the Yankees could make another move in getting another player. In the final segment of the hour, Jaromir Jagr was honored in Pittsburgh and he talked about his girlfriend being too young to remember he played there. She is 29, he is 52.

    Hour 2

We continued talking about Jaromir Jagr and the time a woman tried to extort him by taking a pic of herself in bed with him, and he was like, just post the pic. Gio also wondered why, when celebrity penis pics emerge, they are always large. And yet, we know what the average size really is. Also, does penis size make you more or less confident? Gio said when he was younger he and his friends would talk about donating sperm for cash. Gio said he would have regretted doing that since you would have kids running around. Eddie said that would not bother him at all since they are not ‘his kids’. C-Lo returns for an update but first we took a call from a guy whose life is spiraling right now. I mean, you wouldn't believe it. C-Lo has audio from the Yankees at spring training. Sean Marks also talked about Kevin Ollie and firing Jacque Vaughn. Gio thinks Marks is gone at the end of this season. In the final segment of the hour, a family tried to go to the Islanders/Rangers game at MetLife, but his tickets were already scanned. Gio bought a fake ticket to the Aaron Boone Game.

    Hour 3

The ratings for the NBA All Star Game were actually up this year. Gio thinks the all star games get talked about because nothing else is going on in sports at the time, so talk show hosts talk about how bad the games are. But the reality is, if you like it, you watch it. If you don’t, you don’t. Gio thinks it’s just because there’s nothing else going on that it seems like it’s a big deal. Gio said kids love watching the all star game festivities. It’s the older generation that hates it and complains about it because it isn’t like it was when they were kids. A caller has a great Billy Joel ticket scalping story. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Rafael Devers of the Red Sox calling out the front office for not getting enough players. We got an update on Lenny Dykstra’s health after the stroke: he’s surrounded by ‘hot nurses’. Jameis Winston was on Pardon My Take to talk about Mike Evans and people who grow up around water. In the final segment of the hour, Chris McMonigle is co-hosting with BT today. A 41-year old man calls in who just found out from 23 And Me that his dad is not his dad.

    Hour 4

Neuralink has been implanted into the first person. Gio wonders what they had to pay that person to be first. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and he plays audio of an update guy making his first appearance with Mike Francesa back in the day. Charles Barkley talked about hating Skip Bayless so much. He also hates San Francisco. The Moment of The Day involves sperm donation and what if Eddie fathered kids. In the final segment of the hour, we play audio from a 25 year old Gio, while working with Steve Somers, messing with Bill the baker.

Brain Implants; Old Francesa Audio; Charles Barkley Hates Skip Bayless; Gio Pranks Caller To Somers Show (Hour 4)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Gio had a great day yesterday. First he and Boomer were on the Drew Barrymore show. Then, Boomer, Gio and Jerry played at a really bougie golf club. They were only supposed to be on one segment, but they ended up being on the entire Drew Barrymore Show. The first half of the interview was just questions for Boomer and Gio was just loitering. The topic of Taylor Swift came up during the taping and Gio blamed angry football fans for the Taylor Swift hate. Gio did a good job reading off the teleprompter. The only controversy football wise is the Niners are still angry about their practice facility and the quality of the turf. Boomer said Jerry always wears ‘balloon pants’ while golfing, and did so again yesterday. Boomer said there are a lot of ‘mutants hanging around’ the casino today. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first we talked about Drew Barrymore just getting over the Norovirus and hopefully Boomer doesn’t get it. Jerry has audio of Patrick MAHOMES talking about being the villain now. Tom Brady is surprised the greatest coach ever doesn’t have a job. Cowboys’ Tony Pollard just found out while on the Pat McAfee Show that Dan Quinn left for the Commanders. Today is the NBA trade deadline at 3pm. In the final segment of the hour, Booger McFarland came to the defense of people criticizing Tony ROMO. Gio said he was around ROMO yesterday and seems very happy and living a great life. Gio said ROMO is ‘meatier’ than he thought he would be. Al thought Tracy Wolfson was ‘tiny’. Al & Eddie ran into Mark Davis at an Asian fusion restaurant. Boomer & Gio ran into the owner of the Chargers.

    Hour 2

Peter Schwartz just showed up in Vegas so he joins us on location. Al put on Peter’s gigantic shirt. He also got to interview Dr Oz, but Oz left when Peter asked him who’s going to win the Super Bowl. We asked Peter if he likes a buffet. Boomer and Gio do not like buffets. Peter likes the Patrick Roy hiring by the Islanders. Peter plays video blackjack because he had a bad experience at a table when he hit on 17. Michael Irvin would not take a selfie with Peter. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Mike FRANCESA saying you should never watch the Super Bowl alone. That’s followed by a clip of Chris Russo saying he likes to watch the game alone. Charles Barkley can’t believe how much people pay for Super Bowl tickets. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about the Cowboys and the issue of Jerry Jones being in the spotlight. David Sterns was on the Jon Heyman podcast and it doesn’t sound like an extension to Pete Alonso isn’t coming any time soon. Sounds like it won’t happen until after this season when his contract ends. In the final segment of the hour, Nick Saban is joining ESPN, specifically for College Game Day. Gio said these guys just can’t stay away, they have to be around the game. He’s over 70 years old and has made $200 million. The transfer portal is driving college coaches crazy and will drive more coaches like Saban out of the game. Rex Ryan interviewed with the Dallas Cowboys for defensive coordinator. Imagine Rex with Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy. Boomer had dinner with Phil Simms, Chris Simms, Howie Long and Chris Long. Phil’s lady glasses came up because of the interview with James Brown earlier that day.

    Hour 3

Boomer wonders if Gio’s opinion on how the Super Bowl will go has changed since the time we’ve been here. Gio is rooting for the Niners, but if he bet the game, he would bet on the Chiefs because of Patrick MAHOMES. He has too much Super Bowl experience and has been on a run as the underdog this postseason. Boomer said teams are running all over the Niners so they better figure that out. The Giants gave offensive coordinator Mike Kafka a promotion to assistant head coach. Gio said the Giants offense has been terrible so he doesn’t understand why other teams wanted Mike Kafka. Boomer said he’s a loyal soldier to Brian DABOLL and that’s what he needs right now. Patrick MAHOMES just doesn’t turn the ball over. Boomer did say MAHOMES was a game manager in the second half against Baltimore. Boomer got to interview Brock Purdy for the pregame show and thinks he will have a good Super Bowl. Jerry returns for an update and asks, ‘what’s the best compliment you’ve ever received as a man?’ There’s a pic going around of Drake that shows he’s got a missile down there. Chris Jones was asked if this was going to be his last game with the Chiefs. Calling Brock Purdy a game manager is not fair. Boomer said you could say that about Joe Montana if that’s the case. Tiki Barber said Tom THIBODEAU is stuck in his ways and it could be getting players hurt. Jerry even has some sound from the Rangers game. Stephen A. Smith was asked about which animals he would choose to protect himself against an attack of different animals (it was confusing). A guy climbed on top of the sphere yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we are going to a Breitling Watch event with Boomer tonight. It’s getting more crowded here as it always does on Thursday of Super Bowl week.

    Hour 4

The NBA trade deadline is today at 3pm, but Gio would be shocked if the Knicks make a deal. The NHL trade deadline is tomorrow and we talked a bit about the Rangers’ needs. Gio tells a story of a guy rewarded $25 million because a newspaper attributed racist quotes to him when it was another person. Dean Spanos, the owner of the Chargers, was at the golf club yesterday. Gio was in a ‘suck up spot’ when he told Dean he sees the Chargers in the Super Bowl within two years. Boomer said Gio seemed very comfortable at this bougie golf club. Gio got shamed into a Super Bowl box situation that cost $1,000. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with Patrick MAHOMES talking about being the villain now because of how much they win. Tony Pollard of the Cowboys didn’t know Dan Quinn left to become the head coach with the Commanders. David Stearns was on the Jon Heyman podcast and talked about Pete Alonso and a potential extension (not looking good for this year). I guess Evan Roberts is going to have to keep that red bushy beard longer. The Rangers beat the Lightning last night. The Moment of The Day involves Al trying on Peter Schwartz’s giant shirt. In the final segment of the show, TV producer Stephen Waldron joins us to talk about taking unfinished wine off of another table in a restaurant after it was evacuated due to a fire alarm. Yesterday both Gio and Jerry were confused at golf as to who to or not to tip. We also talked more about tipping the flight attendant on the ride here.

Peter Schwartz's Vegas Adventures; Mike & Dog On Watching The Super Bowl; Alonso Deal Not Happening Soon For Mets; Rex Ryan Interviews With Cowboys; Dinner With The Simms (Hour 2)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

We are live for day 2 of Super Bowl coverage live from Las Vegas. Boomer had a full day of rehearsals and did Monday Morning QB. The fountains at the Bellagio go off every 30 minutes or so and it makes a loud explosion noise every time. Boomer is considering doing an outfit change during the Super Bowl pre-game show. Zach Gelb asked Travis KELCE about Phil Simms’ ‘lady glasses’. Gio, Jerry, Al, Eddie and Stephen Waldron went to Top Golf yesterday. Eddie had a few more Bloody Marys. Boomer got to sit down with Brock Purdy yesterday and he said he’s a guy you want to root for. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and there’s a big bet later today between Boomer and Jerry regarding the Rutgers/Maryland game. Jerry starts with the Eagles playing on Friday night of opening week in Brazil. Boomer said that game is up for auction for a streaming service or TV network that wants to buy it. Jerry has Travis KELCE talking about dating Taylor Swift. Roger GOODELL also talked about KELCE/Swift. George Kittle talked about fellow TE Travis KELCE. Kyle SHANAHAN talked about having to sell Brock Purdy to Niners ownership. Purdy talked about the time he realized he could start in the NFL. KADARIUS Toney said his Instagram video got all edited to make it look like he trashed the Chiefs. He blamed the Giants fans. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about relationships and Ocho said he never broke up with a girl, they always leave him. He’s also considering sleeping in his car when he comes out to the Super Bowl. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about KADARIUS Toney’s Instagram where he was badmouthing the Chiefs. Boomer said Nate Burleson told him Patrick MAHOMES’ brother was a good basketball player in high school.

    Hour 2

The Athletic is reporting that Mike Vrabel’s physical appearance is too intimidating and may have turned teams off. Boomer said he wants ‘an aggressive looking man’ as a head coach. Boomer said Vrabel will be on the Jets list if things go south again for them. Boomer talked about people in front offices of NFL teams just looking to ‘cover their Ass’. We talked about the Boomer vs Mike Lombardi feud regarding TUA from 2020. Gio doesn’t understand why KADARIUS Toney is still on the Chiefs. Boomer said the Chiefs have Andy Reed, Patrick MAHOMES, Travis KELCE and Chris Jones on the team. Those are real leaders so they can handle a wild card like Toney on the team without it becoming a distraction. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the Sphere. Al is going on Thursday for some sort of nature film or something. Jerry has clips from KADARIUS Toney at the media session. RASHEE Rice talked about the Chiefs being underdogs throughout the playoffs. Gio ran into Brooks Koepka in the lobby of the hotel. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about relationships. Said Ocho, ‘if ya wanna live how bout you start sucking some toes’. The Nets took on Steph Curry and the Warriors and lost. The Rangers beat the Avalanche in OT. In the final segment of the hour, Michael Buble said he was on mushrooms while at the NHL All Star game festivities. There are rumors that some teams reached out to Justin Bieber after putting on a show at the all star game. He’s got skills apparently. Who is the most famous Canadian? The last time Boomer did a number 2 in a public bathroom was 1985.

    Hour 3

We forgot to mention Drake and Jim Carrey as far as famous Canadians. What about famous Brazilians? Boomer said Gisele. ‘I think we got rancid sausage’, said Gio, of his breakfast sandwich. Gio is fearing he may have food poisoning from the sausage. We are going on The Drew Barrymore Show tomorrow and they have us reading off a teleprompter. We did a read through of the script with Al playing the role of Drew Barrymore. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Roger GOODELL talking about people who think the NFL is scripted and pre-planned. We heard from MAHOMES and KELCE at the media session yesterday. GOODELL also talked about the Niners complaining about their practice field. Chris Russo called Dan ORLOVSKY a ‘scrub in the NFL’. We talked about working with Russo at WFAN and how he used to rub our shoulders and smack our butts. Gus Johnson was on the call Sunday for an NCAA women’s basketball game and had a slip of the tongue. Gio imagines a gummy infused ‘caveman Jerry’ showing up at the Breitling event. In the final segment of the hour, Barrett Sports Media named us the number one sports morning show. We also talked about Spike leaving and who is going to take over as the head of WFAN.

    Hour 4

Mark Chernoff called in and said he doesn’t want to come back as Program Director of WFAN. He wants Al to not be lazy and take the job. Golf is canceled for today because it’s raining again. We talked about Randy Moss coming on the show Thursday. We then found out that Al booked the horse racing broadcaster, Randy Moss, and not the former Vikings WR. Whoops. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with audio from Chiefs and Niners players from media day. Patrick MAHOMES talked about his ‘dad bod’. Kyle SHANAHAN talked about trying to sell Brock Purdy to ownership when he realized their best QB was third on the depth chart. KADARIUS Toney talked about his Instagram video being chopped up to make it seem like he has bad mouthing the Chiefs. He blamed the Giants fans and his comments box. Charles Barkley said, ‘get off your ass and play basketball’, as he’s sick of guys taking rest days. The Moment of The Day involves Al not realizing the Randy Moss he booked is not the real Randy Moss. In the final segment of the show, we talked more about the Randy Moss snafu and a potential issue with the James Brown interview.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

The Knicks absolutely blew out the Denver Nuggets last night at the Garden. We talked about Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby’s performance. It’s also NFL Championship weekend and the Ravens may get TE Mark Andrews back. If the Knicks are going to do damage this year, Julius Randle is going to have to be as good in the playoffs as he is in the regular season and we haven’t seen that from him yet. But Gio has faith in him this year. He has been phenomenal. The Falcons hired Raheem Morris, so it looks like Bill Belichick will not coach in 2024. Bill Cowher thinks that maybe NFL owners think Belichik is coaching to get the all time winning record and not to win another Super Bowl. Boomer also talked about why it’s hard to hire a guy like Belichick. This opens the door for Belichick to the Giants if Brian Daboll and the Giants don’t have a good year. Right now, the Giants don’t have any weapons, especially if Saquon leaves. Daniel Jones will not be ready at the start of the season, so what is their plan at QB? Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Knicks dominating the Nuggets. Charles Barkley thinks Jalen Brunson should be starting in the All Star Game over Damian Lillard. Kayvon Thibodeaux was on Carmelo Anthony’s podcast and said he thought Saquon should have been paid before Daniel Jones. Patrick Mahomes Sr was on with Evan and Tiki yesterday and he said he was not in the box with Taylor Swift. Everyone thought it was him but he was in a different box. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is heading to Vegas next week to shoot his NFL Greatest Super Bowl Commercials TV show. We also talked about golf courses only wanting us in Vegas if Boomer is playing. If Gio doesn’t golf out there, what is he supposed to do? Eat, drink and gamble for 9 days?

    Hour 2

The Carolina Panthers have hired Dave Canales as their new head coach. He was the Bucs offensive coordinator. Gio said the only way he got that job was because nobody else wanted it. Boomer wonders what’s going on with Colts owner Jim Irsay. We haven’t heard anything about him since hearing he was administered Narcan back in December. We also talked about the Oscars, Barbie and Oppenheimer. Gio did impressions of Mike Francesa with a message for Margot Robbie. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Knicks dominating the Nuggets last night at MSG. Jerry previewed the NFL Championship games. Fans at the Red Wings game were chanting Jared Goff’s name. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer & Bill Cowher were driving around Long Island yesterday and Boomer took him to where the Gilgo Beach killer dumped the bodies. Later in the day they talked to the guy who is prosecuting him. What would it be like for Bill Cowher to ride the subway?

    Hour 3

Both Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel look like they are not going to be coaching in 2024. Belichick could be on the Giants radar if Brian Daboll has a bad year. We also talked about NFL owners having no patience these days. It looks like lots of rain in Baltimore for Sunday’s championship game. Boomer wonders why Al got tickets for the Sphere without going through the hotel concierge. Al has no idea how to handle concierges. Jerry is here for an update but first Boomer found something for us to do in Vegas: drive tanks. A concierge calls in to tell us how you should always use one and they don’t have the word ‘no’ in their vocabulary. Jerry has audio from Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay’s interview on BT & Sal yesterday. BT made an unfortunate joke that made us all uncomfortable. In the final segment of the hour, new Panthers head coach Dave Canales is on Twitter and Gio said it’s time for him to get off.

    Hour 4

This is the last real week of football before the insanity starts in Vegas. Gio doesn’t want the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Mahomes has won enough and he doesn’t want to see Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. He is ‘Chiefs’ out’. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks clobbering the Nuggets at MSG last night. Carmelo Anthony thought Phil Jackson was a great coach despite his tenure with the Knicks. He also liked the triangle but said the younger players weren’t catching on. The Moment of The Day has Gio agasp as Boomer said, ‘maybe we don’t bring the golf clubs’ to Vegas. In the final segment of the show, our NFL Championship game picks, with Yussef!

Knicks Dominate Nuggets; Having Great Season; Falcons Pass On Belichick - Could Giants Be In His Future; Saquon Should've Been Paid Before Daniel Jones; What To Do In Vegas If No Golf (Hour 1)

JON STEWART BACK TO DAILY SHOW THROUGH ELECTION - 1.25.24

JON STEWART BACK TO DAILY SHOW THROUGH ELECTION - 1.25.24

SEASON 2 EPISODE 112: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Yes. I think that's the lead story. And I don't even LIKE Jon Stewart. But it's time to recognize that we are at war. It is, for now at least, a war being conducted almost entirely inside the media world, and here's a prayer that it stays contained within those walls. But if it is, the forces of democracy need all the fighters we can find. And Stewart - who has been mad at me since 2003 and once accused me of "stealing his act" - going back to host The Daily Show at least once a week and be the Executive Producer all the other days, at least through the election, is welcomed news. For that matter, I hope it inspires Maddow - who has been mad at me since 2011 - to be on the air more often at MSNBC.

Meanwhile, I have had absolutely enough of "5 Takeaways From The New Hampshire Primary." Not only is the premise hackneyed, but The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, CNN, The Hill, and Agence France Presse all used EXACTLY THAT TITLE for their versions. And all of them left out the real takeaways: Trump needed to pretend to be a human being and instead lashed out in a rage against Nikki Haley that is now continuing into a third day and last night extended to Trump threatening to "ban" from MAGA anybody who contributes to her campaign (sure - he won't take somebody else's money; his least convincing lie yet). His fuse is completely gone. He also has now claimed he defeated the sitting governor of Iowa, I guess in the primary there, and near as I can find no sitting governor of Iowa has sought the Republican presidential nomination since 1912 so maybe whatever he has, has just moved into the tertiary stage.

Plus: CNN's shame. Its 10 PM the anchor - the one it preempts once a week to instead run Charles Barkley - condescendingly parroted the right wing talking point that nobody in America wants Joe Biden. She should be fired, but given her ratings, they can do something worse to her: force her to continue doing her show.

B-Block (25:04) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Frank Farian, the evil genius behind "Milli Vanilli," is dead. Until I read his obituary, I had NO idea that the scam came apart when a record skipped... in BRISTOL, CONNECTICUT. NewsNation is not satisfied with you not watching it on TV. Now it wants you to also not listen to it on radio. And the Maryland State Senate - led by Democrats - is trying to explain how the new member of the State Board of Elections just got arrested as a January 6th Insurrectionist.

C-Block (32:11) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: With the Abby Phillip Right Wing Talking Point and CNN's continuing lurch rightwards - even under new post-Lichtian management - I think it's time to remind you that ALL the cable news networks have already had THE meeting and tried THE lurch to the right. At MSNBC it was 20 years ago and it was highlighted by the attempt to mainstream a homophobic racist named Michael Savage, and how the President of NBC was enraged when Savage crossed the line and had to be fired.

TRUMP AND GIULIANI PROVE THEY CAN BE BEATEN AND BROKEN - FRI 12.15.23

TRUMP AND GIULIANI PROVE THEY CAN BE BEATEN AND BROKEN - FRI 12.15.23

SEASON 2 EPISODE 91: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: After spending their lives as bullies, Donald John Trump and Rudolph William Louis Giuliani will go out as cowards. Guess who did NOT testify yesterday as testimony ended in the Ruby Freeman/Shay Moss/Rudy Giuliani case? Yes, the defendant, who had promised after court Monday and Tuesday that he would testify, prove that he was telling the truth about them, and that they were lying about him.

Instead, his lawyer was reduced to painting Giuliani as a pathetic "flat-earther" who could never process reality. Giuliani said nothing as the case concluded and the jury deliberated for three hours what he should make out the check for - and they didn't reach a conclusion. When it takes jurors more than one day to decide how much money you owe the people you lied about, guess what: you’re going to owe the people you lied about… eleventy billion dollars.

It has been quite the week for Trumpian cowardice, led by Trump himself, because if the whole Giuliani "I'll prove I'm right" posturing sounds familiar, Trump did the SAME THING this week. He vowed to tell the truth – under oath - about the New York Business Fraud judge and the clerk and the attorney general and then suddenly, he vanished.

Cowardice was on sale at popular prices in Trump-land this week. In ATLANTA yesterday the letters of apology required for the plea deals for Trump 19 confessed conspirators Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesbro were obtained through a Public Records Act motion and combined they stretched to just 26 words.

The importance of Giuliani and Trump wimping out is that it underscores that when the spit hits the fan, the bullies ARE the first to run. The lesson in this is simple: hit them. Hit them every day. Hit them with every lawsuit, every indictment, every protest, every public mockery, every embarrassment. Hit them with everything you have, every day, for the rest of their lives. Because what Trump proved by NOT being in a New York courtroom Monday, and what Giuliani proved by squirming at the defense table yesterday, is that you CAN break them. Both of them. Maybe not all at once, maybe not permanently. But they cannot bullshit their way out of EVERYTHING.

ALSO: You'll never believe how bad Vivek Ramaswamy's CNN ratings were. Or Charles Barkley's. And guess what else is back? Cajun Congressman Clay Higgins' "Ghost Buses" delusion. Except now they're MISSING! Complete with an interview by delusional ex-reporter Lara Logan. And her show literally opens with video of Logan playing in traffic.

B-Block (23:48) IN SPORTS: Gene Carr, "The New Kid In Town," and Ken MacKenzie of the 1962 Mets, in memoriam (29:19) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Elon Musk says an anti-fraud law is a violation of the 1st Amendment. Kevin McCarthy puts the artificial in Artificial Intelligence. And what kind of act could the New York GOP find to follow George Santos? How about a registered Democrat whose name is spelled Nazi - only with an "M."

C-Block (35:00) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: An extraordinary Minnesota rescue is in danger of losing everything: 9 dogs and 130 more animals from Emus to Silky Chickens. (36:05) FRIDAYS WITH THURBER: Man versus machine, reduced to Man versus Medicine Cabinet: "Nine Needles." And man versus transportation, reduced to mice: "The Mouse Who Went To The Country."
