#50 Getting Real with Dawn Hausmann, Consecrated Virgin, on finding true love in her life.

Dawn Hausmann is the Director of Consecrated Vocations, Coordinator of Young Adult Ministry, and Delegate of Consecrated Life for the Lansing Diocese. She has been serving the Diocese of Lansing since 2011. She has a degree in Social Work from MSU and a Master in Theology from the Pontifical John Paul Institute for the Studies of Marriage and Family in Washington D.C.  She has a passion for spreading John Paul II's Theology of the Body and for helping people journey in vocational discernment.  She herself has been on a journey of responding to the call of consecrated life, as she just became a Consecrated Virgin on November 16th 2019, on the Feast of St. Gertrude, consecrated by Bishop Boyea.

Joey Martineck is the Director of Respect Life Ministry for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. For several years, he received formation as a seminarian at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. He now studies at the Theology of the Body Institute. Joey is the libretto writer of GARDEN the musical, co-author of the book GARDEN Meditations, and has spoken to thousands on John Paul II’s vision of the human person.

Mary Grace and Jack discuss the practical reality of "Connection"...the free choice she made to open the door of her heart to the heart of God. In turn the Father, who loves to surprise us, reveals His plan for her. This surprise in her words, "hit me like a ton of bricks".

It could have been different...if she was not willing to wait for God to reveal His gift to her. A woman has the power of giving her 'yes', her total sincere gift of self, to a man. How often in our culture does a woman give her yes before her time, only to be used and abused?
