2020 Running Back Rankings: RBBC Concerns, Sleepers & Standouts

2020 Running Back Rankings: RBBC Concerns, Sleepers & Standouts

Let's talk John's running back rankings! Are there any concerns with anyone in the top 10? Is Kenyan Drake for real? Is Miles Sanders a safe first-round pick with rumors that the Eagles are looking to add a backup? Is Nick Chubb going to turn in RB1 numbers with Kareem Hunt siphoning off touches? Should owners expect more of the same from Austin Ekeler and Chris Carson? How will the Denver backfield shake out? What should owners expect out of James Conner, Mark Ingram and Le'Veon Bell? Will Raheem Mostert continue his late-season production from last year? Who are the mid- to late-round backs that have a chance to outperform their current draft position? John and Anthony answer these questions and more on the latest episode of The Most Accurate Podcast.

2020 NFL Draft Reactions with John Daigle

2020 NFL Draft Reactions with John Daigle

    Summary

On this episode of The Most Accurate Podcast, John Daigle joins Greg to recap the 2020 NFL Draft from a fantasy football perspective. The show begins with bigger-picture takeaways like the proliferation of a "best player available" mentality and the diminishing number of high-volume fantasy options (and not just at running back). From there, your hosts dive into positional breakdowns. Running backs come first (12:06), starting with John and Greg's picks for biggest winners among incumbent ball-carriers. Then the top rookie rushers get evaluated, both on their own and in terms of impacts on their new veteran teammates. Later, after reviewing the most interesting rushers from Day 2 and 3, the conversation turns to wide receivers (37:55). Again, winners and losers among veterans kicks off the positional discussion before your hosts dig into the rookie class. They discuss how much Henry Ruggs might be hurt by the quarterback play of Derek Carr, which other first-round rookies are the best bets to produce in year-one, plus the most intriguing pass-catching prospects from outside the first round. Quarterbacks are next (1:04:22), with takes on multiple winners and one obvious loser among veterans at the position. Your hosts also touch on the outlooks for Jameis Winston and Cam Newton in new homes, then they discuss how to rank the incoming rookies, whether or not fantasy gamers should be worried about Carson Wentz, and the curious case of PJ "Don't Call Me Phillip" Walker playing behind Teddy Bridgewater in Carolina. The episode winds down with a brief section on tight ends (1:20:38), tabbing winners and losers among non-rookies, then highlighting a couple of the position's more intriguing inbound prospects.

Week 15 Recap & Week 16 Waivers with Jennifer Eakins

Week 15 Recap & Week 16 Waivers with Jennifer Eakins

    Summary

On this episode of The Most Accurate Podcast, Jennifer Eakins joins Greg to recap Week 15 and work the Week 16 waiver wire in the hopes of taking down some 2019 fantasy football championships. As usual, the previous week's review hits on booms and busts of the week, featuring Miles Sanders, Breshad Perriman, Julian Edelman, Amari Cooper, and LeSean McCoy among others. The waiver recommendations for Week 16 hit on the Minnesota backfield in the wake of Dalvin Cook's injury, the Tampa Bay pass-catchers in the wake of Chris Godwin's injury, and plenty of other candidates for pick-up across all positions, including quarterback and defensive streamers. The show wraps up with discussion around the mantra of "Always Start Your Studs" (with some picks from Jen and Greg of "studs" to bench and "scrubs" to start in Week 16), plus some back-and-forth between your hosts about the biggest decision points they face in fantasy's final week. It's all geared to help you take home the title in your league. Tune in and enjoy the show.

Week 14 Recap & Week 15 Waivers with Holden Kushner

Week 14 Recap & Week 15 Waivers with Holden Kushner

    Summary

On this episode of The Most Accurate Podcast, Holden Kushner joins Greg to recap Week 14 and work the Week 15 waiver wire en route to glory in the 2019 fantasy football playoffs. Their booms of the week kick things off. Holden laments the loss of Calvin Ridley while celebrating the ascension of Ian Thomas, and Greg wonders if he can run back Joe Mixon against New England next week. Ryan Tannehill also went boom, but he did so from Greg's bench. Was the benching process sound, though? Greg argues that touchdown regression could still be on the table for Tannehill going forward. Busts of the week come next, featuring Jack Doyle and Brandin Cooks, but also with hat tips to the inactive Josh Jacobs and the laundry list of players who ended up injured on Sunday. The second half of the show is a breakdown of the Week 15 waiver wire. Should Raheem Mostert or DeAndre Washington be the top priority at running back? Are Adrian Peterson, Chris Thompson, and Patrick Laird even worth additions considering their poor offensive situations? Why aren't Zach Pascal and A.J. Brown already owned in more leagues? Did Week 14's injuries to Mike Evans and DeVante Parker create more opportunity at wide receiver in Tampa or Miami? Speaking of the Bucs, is O.J. Howard finally back on the fantasy radar? Can Case Keenum salvage Terry McLaurin's value? Who are the top streaming options at quarterback and defense? What other lingering questions and difficult decisions will keep Greg and Holden up at night as Week 15 approaches? Listen in and get the scoop from two of 4for4's finest.
