    Learning Through Games

    Learning Through Games

Learning with our children should be fun, but in reality that is not always the case.  Today we are having a fun conversation about learning with games!  You will leave this episode excited to play games with your children and see results in your home that will last a lifetime.  And don't miss the game giveaway we're doing on Instagram this week!

I have an expert on this topic who has invested countless hours into researching high quality games for her children, playing them over many lunches together, and seeing the results of the learning that took place while relationships were strengthened and everyone was having fun.

Carrie De Francisco is a retired homeschool mom of 2 children who are 22 and 18 years old.  She is the author of "Just Breathe (and Take a Sip of Coffee): Homeschool in Step with God". She is also the host of the  Coffee With Carrie Podcast where she shares homeschool wisdom for moms who have been called to this homeschooling adventure.   She also has an excellent Instagram account with so much advice for all parents about ways you can have fun while teaching your children and helpful hints to help your children with learning whether you homeschool or are in a classroom setting.

Clearing the Clutter in Your Home

Clearing the Clutter in Your Home

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed by the clutter in your home?  Maybe you have counter tops or drawers, or even a closet or a room, that tends to "catch" all of the extra stuff?

I have invited an expert to talk with me about this topic of clutter today.  Kayse Pratt is here from Anchored Women.  She helps equip women to remain anchored in Christ as they manage their homes, family, and daily life.   Kayse is a mom to 2 children so she is no stranger to the balancing act of mom life.  I'm so glad that you'll get to meet her today and learn from her as I did during this fun conversation.

Kayse has created something for you!  Her free guide, Clear The Decks, will give you everything you need to reset your home (and your sanity) in just 2 days!

    Tools for Discipline: Young Children

    Tools for Discipline: Young Children

We’re back again today to talk about discipline! Discipling our children is one of the greatest privileges and responsibilities that God has given us and my mom, Connie Burroughs, is back with us again today for this important conversation.  My mom raised 4 children who love and serve the Lord and now she is Nana to 9 grandchildren.  (5 of those are my sweet babies!).  We began this conversation in episode 33, The Heart of Discipline.  If you haven’t listened to that episode yet, listen to that one first as discipline begins must begin with the heart.  This conversation, Tools of Discipline with Young Children, is full of principals that can be applied to children of all ages, but we’ll specifically focus on young children today.  Be watching for a future episode about tools of discipline with older children.

    The Uncommon Wife

    The Uncommon Wife

If you want to have an uncommon marriage, you need to be an uncommon wife.

While most people think marriage solves problems, more often than not it will require you to confront your heart, character, and behavior. Whether you are a young couple or have been married for some time, dealing with your spouse will always pose a challenge.

I know for me, the beginning of my marriage forced me to take a look in the mirror and do a self-evaluation. Trust me, it was not pretty. Without knowing it, many times we come to marriage with baggage that has not been dealt with.

For those who are not yet at this stage, singlehood is the perfect opportunity to prepare to be the best wife you can be for your husband and get ahead in maturity, understanding and personal liberty.

I can only imagine how much pain I could have been saved from if I had just taken the time to focus on the state of my soul before entering marriage.

This painful process showed me what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do to make a complete turnaround and have the marriage God destined for me to enjoy.

Marriage is one of the most important ministries to God for a reason. There is a power and a purpose for your marriage, you just need to discover it! You can have a blissful, loving and God-centered marriage.

The key is your mindset. I am going to let you in on the intimate struggles of my marriage. You and your spouse are made for greatness, do you believe it?

3 Keys to Being an Uncommon Wife:

    1. [13:38] Heal internally. Most of the time, the issues that trigger us most in marriage are directly related to issues in our past that were never fully dealt with.

    2. [18:09] Get an uncommon revelation of who you are and who your husband is. The word says your value is compared to rubies. That means you are priceless and special. You need to change how you see yourself first and realize who your husband is, beyond what you may see now.

    3. [24:45] Realize that you need uncommon humility. This is necessary to take down your defensive walls and pride. Walls are meant to separate. This cannot be present in restoring and getting ready for an uncommon marriage.
