Few people know that, before he was elected in 1992, our special guest, “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County had a successful career as federal narcotics agent. During that time, he figured prominently in an extremely high-profile drug case that became the subject of the first R-rated movie to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
