    The mayoral byelection is June 26 and already it is looking like this will be the most wide-open competition for the city’s top job in years. Candidates of all political stripes and types of notoriety have said they intend to, or are considering, running. The list already includes current councillor Josh Matlow, former councillor Ana Bailão, former Toronto police chief Mark Saunders and Liberal MPP Mitzie Hunter, with more big names expected to throw their hats in the ring.
