Ready Player One by Ernest Cline Part III

Konnichiwa all you Otakus out there. I hope you're ready for the final installment of the epic sci-fi hit: Ready Player One! Join Ben and Nate for the dramatic conclusion we were all waiting for, in theory. At last Wade has a plan he executed 3 weeks ago that will come in at a crucial moment to turn the tide of this battle. But will it be enough? Will Wade win the 400 billion dollars, or will he realize that the true prize was the friends we got along the way? Both. It's both. He gets the girl and the money. What do we get? We get to watch our lives crumble away as we're bankrupted by the very rich twenty-something we helped put into power. If there's a metaphor in here, you can bet Ernest Cline drove right past it in his DeLorean! Be sure to check out our blog where Ben tells you why he hates this book in exquisite detail and listen until the very end for an ultra super secret Easter egg hunting clue. Good luck hunters!

I hope you have your notepads out and at the ready because there will be an Easter egg you can find in part 3 worth $140,000 to a lucky listener! All you need is to study our lives in such intricate detail that you give up your own life to do so. Then our real master plan will be complete and we'll steal your bodies and begin the cycle again. Nah I'm just kidding, it's just more useless knowledge without any commentary or examination and you wasted your life for nothing! Be sure to check out our blog so you can read all the ways and reasons Ben hates this book. Should be a blast!

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline Part I

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline Part I

Ben and Nate dust off a 2010s classic that gives us a view of 20 years from now through the lens of 40 years ago, from a guy who maybe spends a little too much time immersed in the cesspool we call pop culture.  It's Ready Player One! Do you remember Atari? Do you remember Dungeons and Dragons? Do you remember Neuromancer? Do you remember untreated severe depression and extreme isolation? We sure do! We sure do for over 300 pages! Join Nate as he tries to keep Ben's rage from exploding as we explore Part I of this epic quest for a stupid video game contest (Wade's words not mine). If this book has anything interesting to say about the pop culture it's studying, this should be a blast! I can't wait!
