Analysis of the Colorado Football Debacle

Analysis of the Colorado Football Debacle

CORRECTION: I called the Broncos whippin' at the hands of the Dolphins a "mitigated disaster," which...could be somewhat true, but I intended to say, "unmitigated disaster," which I think is a more appropriate description of Sunday afternoon for Denver.

In this episode, I spend a little time reflecting on the state of football in Colorado. This includes an autopsy the NFL's Denver Broncos were literally stampeded at Hard Rock Stadium yesterday by the Miami Dolphins, 70-20!

The pro football franchise is on life support as it crawls out of the stadium's crevice in hopes of finding a victory in winless Chicago next weekend. While a somber podcast episode (for Colorado fans), it does provide glimmers of hope with fair-minded perspective on what remains possible in this still-early football season for both the CU Buffaloes who got trounced Saturday by the Oregon Ducks (as expected) and the hapless Broncos.

Also, Colorado State got its first win against Middle Tennessee State! Yay!

MNP #14: Coach Prime has the Colorado Buffaloes stampeding college sports

NFL legend Deion Sanders has turned the University of Colorado Boulder's football team, which went 1-11 last season, into the talk of college football with a hot 3-0 start.

Coach Prime changed the culture with controversial methods -- like unloading players into the transfer portal and turning the swag factor to 11 -- but the results seem to speak for themselves.

Also: A federal judge has struck down New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's ban on firearms in public places in Albuquerque -- a measure she put in place after two children were killed in separate shootings in less than a month in the state's biggest city.
