“Calling Dick Tracy... Come in Dick Tracy... ”
There's something to be said in bringing style over substance, and this week's episode, brings us bright vintage clothing and tommy guns and much more in Warren Beatty's hyper-stylized live action cartoon, Dick Tracy!!
Based on the 1930s comic strip, this underrated 1990 gem's got an A-list cast, hard-boiled detectives, disgusting bad guys, eye-popping visuals, vivid color schemes, and a poppin' soundtrack primarily sung by Madonna herself as Breathless Mahoney.
So join us as we find out just how many times we can handle Al Pacino shouting at us, whether or not Tracy will save the day, but most importantly, if Warren Beatty's, Dick Tracy, prevails with style over substance over 30 years later!!

On this episode of Meanwhile...we are breaking down everything we now know about Zack Snyder's Justice League, Zack recently did some interviews enticing fans with some exciting new details about the story, some additional characters, and some new scenes and sequences that should add some new depth to our leaguers!
But before we get into everything ZSJL we are going to go zoom out and take a look back at Zack's influence on the DC Film landscape. Leading up to the big announcement of the Snydercut, a lot of fans and critics were trying to convince the world and anyone who would listen that the Synderverse was in fact dead, and the Snydercut was as imaginary as it's characters. But what if the Snyderverse has been alive and well this entire time? We have some theories about this.
We're also going to explore DC's early days of trouble at the box office, were critics and commentators right to blame it all on Zack? Or were there other factors at play? We've got our own take that may muddy the argument against Snyder.

This is the beginning of the podcast; One, Two, Three, Four! This week the guys talk about the movie, "Scott Pilgrim vs the World". On this episode, Hipster Eric talks about the hipsterness of this movie's soundtrack. John disappoints, and Richard has video game recommendations. So get a life, practice your combo, and listen to Plot Spackle!

Today's episode we are heading to...SPACE where we will join the guys as they solve the issues with the 2017 movie "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets." On this episode of Plot Spackle, Eric can't be bothered to remember the love interest's name. Richard was impressed with the choice to star a child actor. And John believes it's all a government conspiracy, and not coincidence at all. So grab your space pangolin, pull up your surprisingly passive aggressive navigational computer, and listen to Plot Spackle!

Last week the foundations of fandom were shook with the history making announcement that in 2021, Zack Snyder's Justice League, after more than two years of billboards, planes, charitable initiatives, and millions of #releasethesnydercut hashtags, would FINALLY be released on HBOMAX. Well, like the fans, most of the Meanwhile crew was stoked to hear this amazing news! So, naturally we went into the pod booth to celebrate and discuss all the wonderful possibilities. But as much as we wanted to just bask in this announcement. We had questions that needed asking. What did this mean for the future of the DC film apparatus? Is Battfleck back? Is Ezra Miller still going to be the Flash?? And how much of the leaked SnyderCut plot will be in this HBOMAX release? Don't miss this one!--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/meanwhile-pod/message
