    Ep. 184: A Woman Scorned... V

    Ep. 184: A Woman Scorned... V

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! This week is the 5th installment of our series celebrating the gender with the most attitude and pure ferocity. Piss off a man; you can fight it out and then go have a pint at the pub. Piss off a woman, and you will pay for it 10-fold… In this episode, we focus on women that truly rock! Ladies that play loud and heavy with attitude, grit, and that rasp.

What’s this InObscuria thing? We’re a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. These ladies bring it, and you owe to yourself to check them out! We hope we turn you on to something new!

    Songs this week include:

    1. The Gems – “Like A Phoenix” from Like A Phoenix - single (2023)
    2. Blues Pills – “Proud Woman” from Holy Moly! (2020)
    3. ONE FALL – “Rats Abandon Ship” from ONE FALL (2022)
    4. Stonefield – “Shutdown” from BENT (2019)
    5. Larkin Poe – “Strike Gold” from Blood Harmony (2022)
    6. The Downhauls – “Spit The Poison Out” from Spit Into The Void - EP (2023)
    7. Thunderpussy – “Thunderpussy” from Thunderpussy (2018)

    Episode 1: What's Happening?

    Episode 1: What's Happening?

This is the first episode of Season 3 and we are happy to be back!

We have a brand new format designed to keep you updated with what’s happening in the music world as well as to bring you in-depth discussions about various music nerd things.

This season, yours truly, The bravest of badgers, will be hosting a short format news segment called ***What’s Happening*** where I will be discussing the week's music news, often joined by a fellow music nerd.

Monthly we will “get the band back together” in the studio for a long format discussion on a music nerd topic of choice, such as Vinyl vs Streaming or Music Through the Decades...

The Scared Fox and Darsh stopped by for a discussion recently, that episode will air next week, so make sure you subscribe to 12 Bar News wherever you get your podcast or at 12BARNEWS.COM

What’s happening?!? All of these topics were discussed by this week's hosts:

    • The Sick New World Festival was announced earlier this week and promises to bring the same nostalgia to Nu Metal fans as the When We Were Young Festival brought to Emo Kids.
    • Iggy Pop announced a new album featuring amazing guest musicians.
    • Aaroon Carter's sad death at age of 34
    • New Found Glory announced a new acoustic album featuring some of their classic hits.
    • Bright Eyes has released another 3 installments of their companion EPs along with their respective classic albums. Badger gives a quick review of the new EPs and nerds out for a while.

Pour One Out For Mimi Parker

Pour One Out For Mimi Parker

    On this week's show, we...

    • spend quality time with new records from Plains, Cory Branan & Mightmare
    • bid adieu to Low drummer & vocalist Mimi Parker
    • hold a musical memorial for a friend who left way to soon

All this & much, much less!

Debts No Honest Man Can Pay is over 2 rock-solid hours of musical eclectica & other noodle stories. The show started in 2003 at WHFR-FM (Dearborn, MI), moved to WGWG-FM (Boiling Springs, NC) in 2006 & Plaza Midwood Community Radio (Charlotte, NC) in 2012, with a brief pit-stop at WLFM-FM (Appleton, WI) in 2004.

    Phoebe Bridgers

    Phoebe Bridgers

Up and coming singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, whose 'Punisher,' is one of the most  acclaimed albums of the year, joins host Steve Baltin to talk about her favorite protest songs from Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan and Bright Eyes, among others.

"My favorite protest songs are the ones that basically say just exactly what's happening or what happened. That's the most heartbreaking stuff with any art, like a traumatizing movie based on true events or something. All they really do is lay out the facts of what happened and it's just so heartbreaking," she says.

Min tone i livet: Andreas Hjertholm (Mørtel) - Tim Kasher, An Answer for Everything

Min tone i livet: Andreas Hjertholm (Mørtel) - Tim Kasher, An Answer for Everything
Læs mere her (https://www.facebook.com/events/411465369405717/). Varighed: 6:11
