In this episode, I talk about some of my daily experiences that we all go through. I talked about the differences in habitat on our bottom oak savana from the bottom ridge to the top ridge. How quickly creating an opening and buring did! I then talk about all the different options with EQIP from bat houses to concrete stream crossings! Art historian, writer and educator Alice Procter embarks on everything that a historian in mainstream establishment shuns. She speaks about colonial loot, whiteness, historical trauma, myths of national identity besides excavating the colonial story of art in museums. Her unofficial and unauthorised Uncomfortable Art Tours initiative has been unpacking colonial narrative since 2017 across some of Britain’s leading museums. 

Her book The Whole Picture: The Colonial Story of the Art in Our Museums & why We Need to Talk about it deftly unpacks many of the themes that guide her work and asks crucially ‘…who has the right to hold objects, and to tell their stories? Alice in this conversation with Pramod Kumar KG, art historian and co-founder of Eka Archiving Services deliberates on repatriation and restitution and the need to explore alternative histories of objects, people, and collections.

Summer is here and we are all busier than a 3 peckered billy goat. Wanted to focus this weeks episode on some of the events we have coming up with our Beer release at Windy Brew on August 22nd, the Tethrd Teach and Train at Allied Archery on August 14th. Also wanted to recap my recent vacation to Honeoye lake and the visible effects of the gypsy moths on the area which is concerns to say the least. Updates on our food plots and plans for our western hunting trip this September. Discussion of the deer plan and its changes that are currently on the table and open for public comment and lastly some of the gun legislation that is on the table in the state of NY which is close to heading to the governors desk.
