Costume designer Mercedes Cook on creating historic and contemporary looks for film & TV
Mercedes Cook never thought she’d be a costume designer. Even though it wasn’t on her radar, she’s found success in the film & TV industry. Mercedes talks about designing costumes for Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, Malcolm X, and other civil rights leaders for “Genius: MLK/X,” as well as her work on “The Chi.” She also shares tips on how to get started in costuming.
