    Braves Country featuring Corey Smith

    Braves Country featuring Corey Smith

Corey Smith is from Jefferson, Georgia and has earned a loyal fan base simply by "telling it the way it is". Smith has released 10 albums—including 2011’s Top 20 release “The Broken Record”.  Corey has written every word on every album and has produced 9 out of 10 of his own records except for the time he teamed up with producer Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) for his album, “While the Gettin’ Is Good,” released on Sugar Hill Records.  Smith’s sold-out concerts are audience sing-alongs with such fan-favorites as the coming-of-age anthem “Twenty-One,” the nostalgic time warp “If I Could Do It Again” and the group hug “I Love Everyone” …and today Corey Smith brought his acoustic guitar to the Braves Radio Network to talk with us and sing a few songs on the Braves Country Podcast!

Episode 8 - 'Proudly Independent' w/ Corey Smith

Episode 8 - 'Proudly Independent' w/ Corey Smith

On Episode 8 of The Grapevine Podcast the boys are joined by the legend himself, Mr. Corey Smith!

Gary and Charlie talk about being fans of Corey's growing up and looking up to him as an independent artist who has paved the way for many singer-songwriters and artists that have come along in the Country music world. Corey gives us the story of the musical journey that has taken him to where he is, the mindset of being independent and true to yourself as an artist, and shares some stories from the road playing the college bar and club circuit in the southeast.

We also find out what Corey's been up to throughout the pandemic, talk about the guys and girls who have opened and toured with Corey in the past, and hear his best 'F*** The Po-Po' stories from the road, including the time he sparked a riot in Chattanooga.

The crew introduces the new 'Gas or Ass' segment, talk about the release of 'Nothing Much To Do,' the third single off the upcoming record (which drops on Friday), weigh in on the first week of NFL action and answer your fan questions.

Be sure to follow Corey Smith on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Also check out his music, including his 2020 acoustic releases, on Spotify!

Episode 13: Maybe Our Best Yet

Lucky number 13! She’s a long one, but honestly, one of our best to date.

Another week means another fire episode! The boys recap the weekend that was including John’s Father’s Day weekend and RC’s birthday celebration. Being the loving and caring co-hosts that they are, Tim and RC go above and beyond to deliver a personal message to John, from one of his favorite athletes of all time.

Two Lies and a Truth makes it's long awaited return.

The boys play a riveting game of "Real Headlines or Onion Headlines".

News of the Weird presented by Kanga Coolers introduces a possible mouthwatering name change, the most slept on pizza topping of all time and one tortoise that saved an entire species with his sex drive.

And lastly, since all the live music has been canceled, the fellas put together their dream three-day music festivals.

All that and a lot more in a packed episode 13 (Yes, it’s long but, again, we promise it’s good).
