 Kane’s appearances on the big screen include Just Married  - Secondhand Lions - Taxi - Life or Something Like It,  Friday Night Lights, and Summer Catch.

From 2008 to present day: Kane appeares on the TNT television series Leverage as Eliot Spencer. Kane performes all his own fight scenes and also choreographed fights for the series. Kane plays the same character in Leverage:Redemption, which premiered in July 2021, streaming on IMDb TV and can now be viewed on Amazon Prime.

Christian also is an accomplished musician with a southern rock band called "Kane." They have toured the U.S., as well as England and Germany. The band has self-released two albums. Their label debut, The House Rules, was released December 7, 2010. It debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers album chart and no. 25 on the Country Albums chart.

Cindy Rackowitz joined Playboy in 1986 and stood at the helm of Playboy Promotions for 16 years, as the Corporate Vice President of Promotions ( all divisions-worldwide ) and as the President of Playmate Promotions & Modeling Agency.

Cindy held a very important position with great significance in the 1st decade she was with Playboy. The role was a tough one and a huge challenge as Playboy entered the nineties and had to build a  “dot com” division with an impressive online presence. It was well executed and challenging with its 40 years of archives but none the less achieved.

 The company needed a New York based Public Relations professional to rebuild its image after Newsweek ran a cover story featuring Hugh Hefner & Carrie Leigh - his long term girlfriend at the time. The Headline Read: The Party’s Over. The Clubs Closed.  
Magazine circulation was dwindling.  All signs of changing times in the 80s. The PR team had to manage communication with multiple constituents as Playboy Enterprises changed its business model. Subscription sales over single copy sales was the primary focus while also aggressively building its entertainment focus into premium cable tv & video. Essentially building its global presence. 

Cindy also had the incredibly task of "managing down" a gigantic staff as the company streamlined its operations. 

In 1988 to 1989 Playboy saw more good news than bad news with a successful 35th anniversary strategy & execution. It was at this conjecture - Christie Hefner was appointed CEO of PEI.

Cindy shares her very fond memories of the nineties when Hef moved relocated her to Los Angeles. "He wanted the image driver under his wing" as Cindy shared.

Today Cindy runs the non-profit foundation she founded:  Fit 4 The Cause provides diverse exercise and nutrition education programs for low-income communities, vulnerable children, at-risk teens and fragile seniors in Ventura, Simi Valley, Conejo Valley and the San Fernando Valley.

It was 1990  when Richard Bann first visited Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion.   
Cinema and the importance of film preservation sparked a 30 year friendship. One that evolved into being closest of friends and an invitation to "Manly Night."
Monday was always Manly Night, a gathering of Hef's closest friends who would nominate and vote on what film to screen after dinner: Dick Stewart, Ray Anthony, Mel Torme', Johnny Crawford, John Dante, Bob Ridgely, Chuck McCann, Peter Vieira, Ron Borst, Kevin Burns, Robert Culp, Fred Dryer, Jerry Vale, Richard Bann. In 1993 Dick Stewart and his wife Playmate, Anne Randall moved to Sun City. Dick went to Hef and suggested his seat at Hef's left hand should be given to Richard Bann, and Hef agreed. Brother Keith Hefner moved to Los Angeles from Aspen in 1997 coincident with Mel Torme's passing and his seat was given to Keith. "A seat at the table" was a big deal and not everyone who was close to Hef would receive that invitation by Hefner. Hefner was a creature of habit. Every week the calender would reflect nightly events. Events that were religiously  held at the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, for a span of 45 years.

Tuesday Nights = GAME night
Wednesday Nights = GIN night
Thursday Nights = FAMILY night when Hefners boys, Marston and Cooper were young.  Once the boys had grown up Thursday became a movie night.
Friday Nights = CLASSIC FILM Night 
Saturday Nights = RERUN Movie Classics
Sunday Nights = screenings of yet to be released films. Straight from the studios, delivered UNDER lock AND key!!  The films would arrive on reels  and placed on Hefners equipment in in a hidden room behind the grand living room inside the library.

Richard would write copious notes on each film before each movie night. Upon arriving at the Playboy Mansion, Richard would hand off his cliff notes to HEF.  Hefner, the consimate editor would take Richards notes and create his presentation. A cherished moment we ALL loved. Hef in his silk pajamas and robe, in his wonderfully warm and intoxicating way would present a tender and brilliant;  introspective and fascinating backstory on the film. It was "cinematic history" at it's pinnacle. We all shared the LOVE of movie nights held at the Playboy Mansion. The fondest memories we are so very lucky to share. Candace Jordan has been a notable fixture on the Chicago social scene since
her arrival in 1974 from a small town (Dupo) in Southern Illinois. Her long-running (10
year) Chicago Tribune column covered the nonprofit community (until Covid struck)

She's appeared on over 20 national magazine covers including 9 for Playboy (3 U.S., 6
international), had a billboard in Times Square, was a Playboy centerfold, Playboy
Bunny of the Yearand appeared in “Risky Business” with Tom Cruise.

Her lifelong association with Playboy began in 1974 when she became a Bunny at the St. Louis Playboy Club. Following her inclusion in a "Best Bunnies" pictorial in the magazine, she was invited to transfer to Chicago, the organization's hub, where she moved into the Playboy Mansion (when Hefner was in residence). She then went on shoot her centerfold and was given the coveted title of Miss December 1979 .

Magazine pictorials, Bunny of the Year honors, covers and a centerfold quickly
followed. In 2017, she was invited to reprise her 1979 cover with 6 other prominent
Playmates. In 2019, she was contacted again by the magazine to appear in a 12-page
cover story feature (with 4 Playmates) in the magazine's now iconic, Winter 2020,
"Equality Issue."

She's been spotlighted in media publications as: 100 Powerful Chicagoans, 25 Most
Intriguing Chicagoans, 100 Women Making a Difference, 100 Women of Influence,
Chicago Style Setter, Style Icon, Style Influencer, Fierce 50, Leading Ladies in News, Top 25 Most Fashionable Chicagoans, among others.

Jordan has built an incredible career shining a spotlight on and providing a platform for many Chicago charities.

Mark Hopkins worked as Hugh Hefners Personal Valet for 3 years in the early 80's.

The position was a coveted one and Mark was the lucky one to receive this title and role to be in service to Hefner for a span of 3 years.

The era was the early 80's - HEF wasn't married at the time but was in a relationship with Sondra Theodore.  The celebrities who were on the 24 hour list were A- LIST STARS  comedians, actors, writers and movie stars. And the encounters that Mark would have with these people were profound to say the least!

After leaving the Mansion in '84, Mark earned his degree in journalism from Ohio State. He met his  wife and raised four kids and have been together 40 years. Both are retired now and enjoying life every day.

The Lovely, buxom and slender blonde model, actress and make-up artist Cathy St. George  was born on August 23, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia. An Army brat, Cathy moved with her family to Los Angeles, California.

St. George started out working for "Playboy" as a make-up artist. Cathy was the Playmate of the Month in the August, 1982 issue of "Playboy." She posed with her sister Toni for a pictorial in the April, 1985 issue of "Playboy." Moreover, St. George has appeared in a handful of "Playboy" special edition publications and was featured in several "Playboy" videos.

Cathy not only has acted in a few films and TV shows, but also has modeled for various artists. In addition, she has worked as a make-up artist in print, film, and television. Cathy owns a dog named Tallulah and makes regular appearances at assorted conventions held all over America. Cathy St. George lives in New York City.

To be awarded with that title; Well, lets just say you have truly reached "The Echelon" of a very rare and revered group of  women, that exist in the world.  You are being named, and recognized as "ONE of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN in THE WORLD."  A term that goes hand in hand, with the INFAMOUS  title of "SUPERMODELS"  the drop-dead gorgeous, exquisite, unique women; of the "ELITE" world - of the "Modeling Industry.

No questions were off base - we laughed - we cried - we took a good look at our shared memory of being a part of HEF'S world  and werejoiced at how very grateful - how very certain - how very unique we each are because of the profoundly important and life changing moment in time that we were each selected to be Miss ?  Playboys Playmate of the Month.

AND  what a better time to release this show. It just happens to be that we recorded this show 6 months previously - with ZERO idea about the current day "MEDIAS MAD DASH"   to try  and  decimate the legacy, the character and the legend of the man behind this whole conversation. Our beloved - Hugh M. Hefner.

David Mecey spent 24 years at PLAYBOY as a Staff Photographer. However, David was unique in the manner that not only did he shoot Centerfolds in the Chicago office - but also photographed a ton of Playboy Newsstand Specials, Celebrity features and more. 

David Mecey is an incredibly talented photographer.  Many of Echo's favorite images from Playboy were taken by David.

When we asked David about his experience at Playboy,  he had the following to say:

"Playboy was in no uncertain terms my University of Life for a young, naïve southern boy from East Texas. No other way to put it. It would be there I would literally grow up, both as a photographer and as a man. By that, I would learn to be more sophisticated and charming in order to meet the demands of the magazine’s PR requirements dealing with interviews representing both the magazine and myself. Then being flown everywhere, working with so many people, especially the women, well, it just taught me what it takes to be a consummate professional and to be able to handle pressure due to the high standards the magazine required from its shooters."

I cannot say enough how much it impacted me both professionally and privately. It was literally my life for some 24 years and that was all. I lived, dreamed and worked for the Bunny."

David continues to work in the field of photography as well as offering workshops that pertain specifically to the "Playboy Lighting Effect."

LARRY LOGAN worked with HEFNER & PLAYBOY for close to 30 years.

Logan began his career as HEFS personal Contributing Photographer from 1977-1984 and then was named "Vice President, Creative Director" in PLAYBOYS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP from 1984-1994.

"I transitioned to the VP Creative Director position in the early days of the new Entertainment Group. I had extensive background in marketing and design, separate from my professional photography career, which gave me the expertise to take on this role.

How were you able to secure your photographer position at Playboy in 1977?

"Kerry Morris was the Playboy Studio West manager and knew of my professional (outside) work during my student years at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara and earlier at the University of Arkansas. During both degrees I did off-campus professional assignments for major magazines resulting in over 500 magazine credits."

"Kerry invited me to join initially to assist and learn from the other photographers then to work with HEF as a photojournalist for the magazine. Although I did some nude shoots, more of my focus was on serving as HEF'S personal photographer and photographer of the Playboy Interviews, all the Mansion events, traveling with HEF."

"I transitioned to the VP Creative Director position in the early days of the new Entertainment Group. I had extensive background in marketing and design, separate from my professional photography career, which gave me the expertise to take on this role."

What was the biggest take away you took from working so closely with HEF?

"How to stretch and push myself in any project with him. As he said to the designer of Playboy
Mansion West, do your very best and that is the minimum I will accept. How to not accept
anything less than the maximum effort from my staff and contributors I hired."

Michael Lee spent years at Playboy Enterprises Entertainment. First as the Senior Art Director & then went on to hold the title of "VP Creative Director."  

Challenged to develop creative strategy  and execute large scale projects for the entertainment division. Developed and optimized internal business capabilities and collaborated with cross function team collaborators, photographers,  and international PLAYBOY license holders to conceptualize and produce multimedia while maintaining brand consistency across diverse business lines.  Developed vision, business briefs and design requirements for trade, consumer advertising, electronic media and special events.  Directed photography project from concept to final retouching and key art completion. Selected locations, set designs and models and stylists for photo shoots. Contributed to design and development of corporate website.

*Michael Lee received numerous public awards and accolades. Including the "Golden Ink Award" from the printing industry association, Print Magazine, LA  Advertising for woman for outstanding overall achievement & design of logo types,  Jazz CD packaging, print communications and PR.*

The events that Michael created were nothing short of spectacular! It was an absolute honor to be a part of all of the spectacular events that Michael Lee was responsible for creating. You knew if you were chosen to work the event that you were going to be dressed in something  fabulous that we the PLAYMATES would all wear to mirror the theme of the event, to the actual events - rather HUGE Parties - where we entertained the guests and represented PLAYBOY as one of the chosen few, a "Playboy Playmate."

"James R. Petersen is a veteran of forty years at Playboy magazine. Hired to be the Playboy Advisor in 1973, for two decades he answered  - all reasonable questions—from fashion, food and drink, stereo, sports cars to dating dilemmas, taste and etiquette. He was, according to USA Today, “the number One source of sex advice in America.”  That was his day job.   

An award-winning freelancer, he has written about adventure travel, motorcycling, windsurfing, kayaking, and skiing (he co-authored Playboy’s Guide to Ultimate Skiing)."

 Additionally, Petersen  authored  the infamous book "The Century of Sex."   The book took 3 years to write and was a true labor of love for Petersen & Hugh Hefner, whom acted as the chief editor for the book itself.

"The book presents a sweeping history that argues that the "sexual revolution" of the sixties and seventies was part of a larger social evolution. This evolution began generations before the advent of penicillin, Playboy, or the pill -- and produced seismic cultural shifts that have changed the way Americans live forever."

Corinna & I loved having the opportunity to sit down with Petersen and conduct the interview. What we would learn from Petersen and his career at Playboy and most importantly working closely with Hugh M. Hefner was incredibly profound.

Barbara is on the board of directors for the non-profit charity Beauty Saving The World helping to feed impoverished people.
