Trump Forced to PAY UP in NY, Supreme Court Ruling IS IN

Trump Forced to PAY UP in NY, Supreme Court Ruling IS IN
Defense attorney Michael Popok & former prosecutor Karen Friedman Agnifilo are back with a new episode of the midweek edition of the Legal AF pod. On this episode, they debate: the Supreme Court’s surprising ruling to grant Trump’s appeal and set oral argument for April on whether a president can be indicted for crimes while in office, and the impact the ruling will have on the DC Election case and its scheduling before the election; Trump’s lose at the NY appellate court to stay the enforcement of the $500 million dollar NYAG fraud judgment and why he disclosed that he might have to sell real estate to cover the bond; the new filings made by the Manhattan DA’s criminal trial of Trump that starts in less than a month, the only likely criminal trial of Trump before the election, what Judge Cannon will do on Friday in the Mar a Lago obstruction case regarding the May trial date, whether Judge MacAfee will remove Fulton County DA Fani Willis from the Georgia election interference case this week, and so much more at the intersection of law, politics and justice. Trump LEGAL DEATH SPIRAL in 2024 IS HERE

Trump LEGAL DEATH SPIRAL in 2024 IS HERE
Trial attorneys Ben Meiselas and Michael Popok are back with a new episode of the weekend edition of the Legal AF podcast. On this end of 2023 episode, they debate/discuss: Trump’s trial team being outmatched, outwitted, out-prepared and out worked, by the DOJ, NY Attorney General, Fulton County DA, and private lawyers, in simultaneous Civil, Criminal and Appellate matters; Trump suffering another setback related to experts and damages in the E. Jean Carroll defamation and punitive damages case set for January; what will happen next in Trump’s attempts to have his criminal indictment dismissed on immunity grounds; whether Judge Cannon will use the “Confidential Information Procedures Act” (AKA CIPA) procedures required in the Mar-a-Lago case to give Trump the delay in the May trial he’s been transparently seeking; whether the US Supreme Court will find that states, like Michigan, Colorado and Maine, have the power to ban Trump from the ballot, and so much more from the intersection of law, politics and justice. Should Lucy Letby have been made to go to court?

Should Lucy Letby have been made to go to court?

Lucy Letby has been given a whole life order for her crimes. She joins only a small group of prisoners to be given a sentence so severe that they can never be considered for parole. But she wasn't in court today to hear it for herself. She chose not to appear, much to the victims' families fury.

The Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition want the law to be changed to force criminals to face their days of reckoning in person. It sounds simple - but is it? Lewis discusses with a former Old Bailey judge and a victim of the Manchester Arena Attacks whose own cowardly perpetrator also refused to confront the court.

And after the Lionesses' near miss in Sydney we ask why politicians always sound so weird when talking about football. We talk to the politico's politico and genuine football obsessive, Lord Danny Finkelstein.
