Adonis Creed must contend with a new challenger to his heavyweight throne: Ivan Drago's son, Viktor. This week, the co-hosts heap praise on Michael B. Jordan for a lively and piercing performance as he is flanked by the talented Tessa Thompson and experienced Sylvester Stallone. Though the cinematography is stellar at times, a simplistic story and questionable motivations make for a frustrating film that seemed to have all the pieces ready-made for a classic. Steven Caple Jr. does an apt job in this follow-up, but it ultimately fails to reach the heights of its predecessor.

Wenn ihr das hier lest, dann seid ihr entweder total verrückt, habt alles richtig gemacht oder irgendwie beides. Herzlich Willkommen zu Episode 2 von NSRT - Nerd Science Recorded on Tape. Dem einzigen Podcast über Filme, den ihr wirklich braucht. INHALT: Dieses Mal wollen wir es allen beweisen und haben noch viel mehr in eine einzige Folge gepackt. Wir fragen uns z.B. ob und wie viele Kingsman-Fortsetzungen wir vertragen können und warum es sich bald lohnt nach Nordirland auszuwandern. Außerdem orakeln wir über die Zukunft von James Gunn und Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 sowie über den sicherlich lauten Abschied von Rambo und den wiederum leisen Abgesang von Chris Evans als Captain America. Bei den Trailern kommen wir nicht mehr mit den Timelines von X-Men Dark Phoenix klar, denn wir erfreuen uns lieber an historischen Rückblicken bspw. in Form von Christian Bale als Dick Cheney in Vice. Auch ganz aufgeregt haben uns die Schnipsel von Creed 2 (positiv) und Ausschnitte von The Upside (negativ). Zum Schluss gucken wir uns noch Clint Eastwood in The Mule an, rätseln über J. J. Abrams‘ Nazi-Zombies und enden mit einem Heavy-Metal-Trip. Nach viel Action und lauter Gitarrenmusik holen wir dann den heißen Scheiß der Woche raus. A Quiet Place fährt in dieser Episode das Volumen gaaanz weit nach unten. Freut euch mit uns wenn wir wieder in Lob schwelgen und guckt euch den Streifen am besten auch direkt parallel an!
