Genesis 40 – Joseph keeps a godly perspective throughout his circumstances. When tested by God, he focuses on service rather than his circumstances. He trusts that God's timing is perfect, and he looks at each situation as a way to glorify and honor his God in a pagan world.

Have you ever forgotten anything? Have you ever forgotten that you promised you would do something and then you realize later, I promise to do that -- and then I forgot about it. That happened to a person who Joseph knew. Joseph Knew Pharaoh's Butler and his Cup Bearer told him, When I get out of prison, when I am restored to my position, I will remember you as Joseph had asked him to do. But then when the man was restored to his position and began working again before Pharaoh -- he didn't. He forgot about Joseph. For two years, he forgot about Joseph. And he says, I remember my faults this day. The day he remembered the one who interpreted his dream in prison. When you tell someone you're going to do something, don't forget, do what you've promised and live faithful before God.
