How do you receive the Holy Spirit? Do you already have the Spirit if you are saved? If so why do we need to seek more of it? We are now in the Advent season. The four Sundays preceding Christmas are focused on the Advent which simply means "coming". Each Advent has a particular theme. This weekend's advent is that of Hope. Join us as Pastor Rob talks about the hope we have in not only the first coming of Christ but of also of His second coming and the hope we have RIGHT NOW.

Change is, at times, inevitable. It can be good and it can be bad and can come with mixed emotions of what is yet to come. It points to the future and can be unknown most of the time. But what is it that makes it okay for us to look forward to it? Whether it be good or bad in our eyes. God has promised us that his plan and future for our lives are better than what we can even try to predict or plan out. Where are you in your Christianity? Compare it to a student’s education; are you still pre-school, kindergarten, high school, college, beyond? How about in comparison to the food you ate when you were a baby as to what you eat currently? The point is that the longer we live out our lives the more we mature in the natural progression of our lives. This is not to say that we don’t have any control over how we mature in life. It’s quite the contrary, actually. We need to challenge ourselves to grow in the things of the Lord so that we will be able to rightly apply the word to our daily lives. In the next message in our series on Hebrews Pastor Rob challenges all of us to identify, move forward and take the next step in our Christian maturity as we apply the Word of God into our daily lives.
