As we start off this morning consider these questions: Does this axiom (saying) cross over to the spiritual life, “You are what you eat”? This morning Pastor Jeff takes on what seemingly sounds like an overwhelming question, "What does God want us to look like?" By the power of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jeff proposes to us that He wants to reproduce Christ in us.

This morning Pastor Jeff shows us how a life can be dramatically changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Peter's life we also see how God can use a person, filled with the Spirit, to reach out and do things that only He can do through them. Things that can have an effect on others long after we are gone. It wasn't the rich and famous who came to worship Jesus that first Christmas Eve, but shepherds. God reminds us that, "as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it to me." He invites us, as his children, the "poor in Spirit," to come into His presence and worship Him.
250 years ago, Isaac Watts wrote a hymn based on the truths found in Psalm 98. The name of this world-famous hymn is “Joy to the World.” At Christmas it is sung all across the world by millions of Christians and non-Christians alike. But a close study of the words of this hymn reveals that Watts did not have in mind the Bethlehem coming of Christ, but rather the millennial coming of our Lord.

This morning Pastor Jeff shares with the excitement of knowing a God who is total control of everything, created everything and yet came and dwelt among us and is still reigning today! What do you believe about “you”? Does it match what the Lord says about you? Sometimes we let the circumstances around us dictate how we feel and act to the world around us. However, has shown us that he is on our side and we have hope in that. The Bible tells in Hebrews 12:11 that no discipline or correction is pleasant while we are under it. However, if we allow it to train us and teach us it will lead us to righteous living. Do you ever feel alone when you have to stand up against the things that tear you down? Daily we are tempted in areas of our lives that Satan knows we are weak in.
