    #84 Change Orders

    #84 Change Orders

When it comes to building a custom home, just remember, this is a prototype! It's never been built before! With that being said, the inevitible will happen and that's what we call a change order. This isn't always a bad thing and those two words more often get a bad wrap!

Today the three of us discuss what change orders are, why they happen, ways to try to avoid some of them and why they have an associated cost to them.

    Ep 124: Designing a Legacy

    Ep 124: Designing a Legacy

A home builder is often worried about efficiency and timeline, not design. That’s why it’s so important to involve an architect in your home-building process. Our guest today is an architectural designer that approaches the process with the eye of an artist. Tony Frazier of Frazier Home Design was inspired by modern architects to build the type of homes that make you stop and stare. To reach that level of success he’s had to tackle many industry issues such as incorporating a builder early, finding the right clients, and creating the processes that can grow and evolve with his business. Tony has never been satisfied with doing things the way they’ve always been done, and today he shares with us how he navigated pushing the envelope in an industry resistant to change.
