    Eric and Sydney review the 2022 Hallmark mystery hit, Cut Color Murder.  This was Sydney's favorite mystery of the year, but you have to hear her rankings!  Eric also enjoyed it but didn't get the same steamy vibe between Ali and Detective Kyle.  They both agreed that we need to have another movie in the saga to explain the fantastic cliffhanger ending.

    Signature Movie Cocktail – Miss Golden Peak! (5 mins)

    Ingredients: 

    • ½ oz. Pear & Ginger cocktail syrup
    • ½ oz. St. Germain
    • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
    • 4 oz. Prosecco


    Directions:

    Follow the recipe for pear & ginger cocktail syrup. Allow to cool, and strain.

    Add a hand full of ice to a cocktail shaker and pour ½ oz. pear & ginger syrup, ½ oz. St Germain, ½ oz. fresh lemon juice and 3 oz. Prosecco. Gently stir and pour into a frosted glass.

    Ginger Pear Syrup Recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 4 Pears Sliced and Rough Chopped
    • 2 Tbsp Fresh Ginger Grated (From roughly two 2-inch pieces of fresh ginger)
    • 1 Cup Water (8 oz.)
    • Pinch Kosher Salt
    • 4 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar (1/4 Cup)

    Directions:

    1. Peel and grate two 2-inch pieces of fresh ginger
    2. Slice and rough chop pears, discarding the cores.
    3. Combine pears, ginger, water, and a small pinch of kosher salt in a medium-sized sauce pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-minutes, stirring occasionally.
    4. Remove from heat, and mash pears with a potato masher or wooden spoon.
    5. Using cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve, strain syrup into a bowl.
    6. While still warm, add brown sugar stirring to combine.
    7. Let cool completely.
