Kenjo sammelt 8,8 Mio. Euro für Digitalisierung von Personalabteilungen ein ( Hi Inov • Lightbird • Innovation Nest)
In der Nachmittagsfolge begrüßen wir heute Melanie Lang, CRO von Kenjo, und sprechen mit ihr über die Series-A-Finanzierungsrunde in Höhe von 8,8 Millionen Euro.
Kenjo hat eine All-in-One-Plattform zur Verwaltung, Kommunikation und Entwicklung von Deskless-Mitarbeitenden entwickelt. Mit der Plattform können Unternehmen unter anderem Dokumente, Anwesenheit, Urlaub und Abwesenheiten, Schichtplanung und Leistungsbewertungen direkt aus der Cloud verwalten. Neben der Automatisierung von HR-Verwaltungsaufgaben zielt Kenjo darauf ab, eine Unternehmenskultur zu fördern, die die berufliche und persönliche Entwicklung der Mitarbeitenden unterstützt. Die All-in-One-HR-Software legt einen Fokus auf die Verwaltung von Mitarbeitenden in der Industrie, im Dienstleistungssektor und in kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen. Kenjo wurde im Jahr 2017 von David Padilla und Gonzalo Abruña in Berlin gegründet. Das Startup beschäftigt mittlerweile mehr als 70 Mitarbeitende mit Büros in Berlin und Madrid sowie in Lateinamerika, Österreich und der Schweiz. Das Unternehmen arbeitet hauptsächlich mit Firmen mit einer Mitarbeitendenzahl zwischen 20 und 500 und hat mehr als 1000 Kunden, zu denen Unternehmen wie Jaguar, Domino's Pizza und Caritas gehören.
Nun hat das Berliner HR-Tech in einer Series A 8,8 Millionen Euro unter der Führung von Hi Inov eingesammelt. Zu den weiteren Kapitalgebern zählen Lightbird und Innovation Nest sowie die bestehenden Investoren Redalpine und The Delta. Der geschäftsführende Gesellschafter von Hi Inov namens Wolfgang Krause tritt in den Vorstand von Kenjo ein. Das frische Kapital soll für die Erweiterung der digitalen Lösungen eingesetzt werden, um die Verwaltung von Personalabteilungen zu optimieren. Außerdem möchte das Startup seine Position in der DACH-Region und in Südeuropa weiter ausbauen.

In der Rubrik “Investments & Exits” begrüßen wir heute Daniel Wild, Gründer und Aufsichtsrat von Mountain Alliance. Daniel kommentiert die Runde von Planet42 und Carmoola.
Das südafrikanische Unternehmen Planet42 hat 100 Millionen US-Dollar an Eigen- und Fremdkapital gesammelt, um sein Geschäft auszubauen und weltweit eine Million Autos für Kunden bereitzustellen, die von der traditionellen Autofinanzierung ausgeschlossen sind. Das Unternehmen bietet Miet-zu-Kauf-Auto-Abonnements an und hat bislang mehr als 12.000 Autos für Kunden in Südafrika und Mexiko gekauft. Die neue Finanzierungsrunde wurde von Naspers Foundry und ARS Holdings geleitet. Planet42 ist eines der wenigen neuen Unternehmen, die sich auf den afrikanischen Markt konzentrieren und das Ziel haben, die Ungleichheit im Verkehr mit verschiedenen Mobilitätsangeboten anzugehen.
Das Londoner FinTech Carmoola hat in einer Series-A- und Fremdkapitalfinanzierung insgesamt 103,5 Mio. Pfund erhalten. Die Serie-A-Finanzierungsrunde in Höhe von 8,5 Mio. Pfund wurde von QED Investors geleitet, mit Beteiligung der bestehenden Investoren VentureFriends und InMotion Ventures. Eine Kreditfazilität in Höhe von 95 Mio. Pfund wurde von Natwest bereitgestellt. Carmoola bietet eine schnelle Autofinanzierung an, bei der Kunden ein Budget zur Verfügung gestellt wird, eine kostenlose Überprüfung der Fahrzeughistorie möglich ist und die Zahlung online oder im Ausstellungsraum innerhalb von 60 Sekunden erfolgt.
