For the debut episode of Behind The Stage, Joey D talks to one of the most well-known musicians and supporters of the Asian Independent music scene, Riz Farooqi - formerly the frontman of seminal Hong Kong hardcore group King Lychee, and currently guitarist of heavy metal outfit Dagger. These two longtime friends catchup during the quarantine to talk shop about the hows, whens and whys of the creation of uniteasia.org, the one-man-run website that continues fighting the good fight of Asian independent music, and about Riz/s close ties with the Philippine scene.

Behind the Stage was produced, recorded, and distributed under quarantine by Big Baby Studios. Do excuse the not so great audio, this episode was recorded over Zoom. 

In a much-needed episode we (finally) talk about everyone's favorite blood-sucking monster... vampires!

A hotly debated topic at the moment is the use of a library like Dagger for dependency injection in the world of Kotlin. In this episode, we talk to Danny Preussler. Danny's a pro who's been around from the Java 1.0 days! He helps trace the history of dependency injection in Java all the way to today, in a Kotlin world where there exists alternatives like Koin and Kodine.
