This early morning before work, I felt compelled share what God has been trying teach me. Matthew 6, "Do No Be Anxious" is a section of verses from the sermon on the mount that I continually have to return to pretty much everyday. This is Jesus speaking to a crowd for the first time and trying to explain that God is in Control. We don't need to be anxious and instead, seek first His Kingdom, and His Righteousness. That's so hard!

Welcome to the 'BEST OF' Series here on the His Word My Walk podcast!

Christmas is six days away! Is this time of year incredibly busy for you? And are you traveling, spending extra time with family and friends, and running around with errands and shopping that you told yourself you wouldn't do?

Let me share with you how God led me to spend consistent time with Him while my family was on a ten day trip to Hawaii in 2022.

I didn't know that time would turn into a podcast episode, but here's what happened. I read Psalm 23 every single day for nearly an entire month!

Yes, the same chapter! Yes, the chapter that is quoted so often! Yes, the chapter that I have heard taught and preached many times in my life.

The thing is, I never got bored. It was never stagnant. I was actually more excited every morning to see something fresh, to spend time with God and have Him give a little more detail and a few more insiders each day.

I know holidays can be chaotic. I know vacations can throw your entire schedule and consistency of track.

It doesn't have to derail your desire and your time with God in His Word.

This is the MOST LISTENED TO episode of all! Are you in a waiting season? This is the episode for you!

Waiting on God can be really hard. Are you a Christian woman feeling like you're in a waiting season, a holding patter, even at a stand-still maybe? It's not always easy.

Having a real relationship with God means not only that you spend time together, but also that you trust what God says. Have you ever said, "God's timing is perfect," or "God's timing, not mine," or "I'm waiting on God?"

In this episode, I'm sharing four truths for you to stand firm in and walk in while you're in your waiting season. And let me say this, not once in this entire episode do I say the word "patience" or "be patient" and for that I'm very thankful how God helped me to see this.

I am sharing vulnerably and personally in a fresh way. I am in a waiting season too. I am waiting on God's promises too. This past week, while preparing this episode, God and I had some real conversations.

Even when I'm in a waiting season, I trust God. I know His truth. I know He has good plans for me. Do I always trust His timing? I want to say yes, being honest, there are times I question His timing.

I have seen my waiting seasons in such a new light this past week and my prayer is that you can begin to see your waiting season in a new light too.

You are a child of God. He has a plan for your life and that plan is always in motion, even right where you are right now. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through this episode. And know that your waiting season not only has purpose, but even more, if you look for it.

Pray for our Enemies? Love Our enemies? How... How?
Last week, I was literally feeling persecuted against for my beliefs. It happens a lot to me, I’m very bold about my faith and my relationship with Christ. I don’t get preachy but I definitely don’t shy away from the subject. 

I was carrying a cute little chip on my shoulder like a badge of honor. Hah, I’m being persecuted against, Jesus said this would happen:

Matthew 5: 11-12
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
I was literally walking around full of pride over this encounter. 
And then, God served up a giant steaming humble pie into my lap with a verse that follows later on in that same chapter:
"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.”

Do All things All Things Work Together for Good to Those Who Love God? This is a very difficult verse to understand but in our pain and suffering we can find peace and joy in Jesus Christ. 

This past week my little dog, Minnie, crossed the rainbow bridge. It was unexpected and very quick. She was my child and the pain is very real and deep for me. I will always miss her but I know I will see her again in Heaven. 
Yes, I do believe all dogs go to heaven. (All animals, actually.)
