442 - Ken Aguado | What Would You Ask God?

442 - Ken Aguado | What Would You Ask God?

If you could interview God, what would you ask Him?

That's the premise behind Ken Aguado's first screenplay "An Interview With God".  The screenplay was written and the movie eventually was made in record time after returning from an inspirational trip to Israel a few years ago.

Ken shares the story behind the writing and making of the movie, which can be found on Netflix today.  The novelization is also available wherever books can be found.

404 - We Will Reap The Harvest If We Do Not Give Up

404 - We Will Reap The Harvest If We Do Not Give Up

I love the promise of Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

This is particularly important for those in business.  We must not give up. We must continue to do good in our work and in our efforts.  If our motivation is from a heart of giving and doing good in the world, God promises we will reap the harvest if we remain faithful to our work.

This is such an encouragement for anyone doing great things in network marketing, in business, in real estate sales or any other industry that requires persistence and consistency to see the rewards.

396 - Krissy Nordhoff: You Have Every Ingredient You Need

396 - Krissy Nordhoff: You Have Every Ingredient You Need

I don't often get to have my wife join me for a session, but I did today!  And boy is it good!

I just had to bring Krissy on to share a profound insight she's gotten about bread making.

Here's what she wrote on her Facebook page:

Yesterday, I stood in front of a nearly empty cupboard. I thought to myself, “Everything in here is ingredients!” As in nothing we can eat immediately😂. I heard God whisper to me....”That’s what I give you. Ingredients. It’s up to you to put them together, and it takes time and effort, but when you do, you get fresh bread.” Prayer, worship, journaling, reading His word—now I see ingredients!

We sit down to unpack this a little bit more today.  This bread is a really good listen.

395 - How To Be A Leader of Leaders

395 - How To Be A Leader of Leaders

GALILEO said "You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself."

And, this is the key to being a leader of leaders. You cannot make someone learn something.  You can only inspire and stimulate the why behind their why.  And, when this is done with a pure motivation - for their benefit - you are really teaching.  You are helping him find it within himself!

394 - Everyone Is Just Making It Up As They Go Along

394 - Everyone Is Just Making It Up As They Go Along

I'm inspired by a quote from FRANK CHIMERO that says, "I have no idea what I'm doing, and everyone is just making it up as they go along. This about sums up everything I know."

What this says to me is I actually need to stop comparing myself to everyone else.  Because everyone is just making it up as they go along anyway. A better thing to focus my attention on is how can I find a way to take one step closer to my dream.  That's a productive thought. And it's worth focusing on.

389 - What do you do when disagreements lead to disappointment? Try this!

389 - What do you do when disagreements lead to disappointment? Try this!

Over the last 3 years, I've learned the hard way finally how to interact with my most important relationships. I used to find reasons to disagree with my wife and kids because I wanted to get to the truth. I've found that my truth is less important than what is true for others. I have significantly less disappointments in my relationships when I made this one simple change.

377 - Phillip Andrew - The Difference Between Serving and Pleasing

377 - Phillip Andrew - The Difference Between Serving and Pleasing
Like many children, Phillip Andrew grew up feeling anxiety over insecurities and the uncertainties of life.

That anxiety led him to abuse alcohol beginning in his pre-teens first getting drunk at the age of 11.

When he was 14, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, and during his Sophomore year of High School, exactly 1 week before his 16th birthday, she passed away.

That was the fuel being poured on an already burning fire.

Today, at 33, living in California, Phillip talks with students about his adventures traveling the world, dealing with the death of a parent, overcoming addiction, and how learning to take ownership over his life and use his hardships as a catalyst for positive change helped him to create a very full life.

Hear his story in much greater detail on today's episode of The Courage Cast.
