Hunter Berg is one of the best basketball players to come out of the state of North Dakota. His accomplishments include Mr. Basketball in high school, All American in college, and numerous others. He was not only a great player but was also a great coach for the Tetons at  Williston State College.

Jon Cole is a veteran sports anchor. Voted by his colleagues as the North Dakota Sportscaster of the Year in 1983, 1998, 2003, 2006 and in 2007. The high school gym in Williston High is also named after Jon Cole.

Barry Haggin has had a historic coaching career when it comes to the game of basketball. Barry took 3 boys and 3 girls teams to state. He won a championship and a runner-up in each. In the same year, he took the girls to place runner-up at state he took the boys to a state title. He is in the ND Coaches Hall of Fame. The court at Divide County High School is named after him.

Coach Hank Biesiot is the all-time winningest coach in NAIA history. He spent all 36 seasons coaching football with the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University. The stadium where the Blue Hawks currently play is also named after Coach B.
