Chris Beresford’s young life was tough; he lost his mom young, then he’s raised by an alcoholic dad, then the family loses everything, and at the age of 13, Chris is responsible for things like his own food. While things could have turned dark, Chris didn’t end up dancing on stage 3; he was on the podium at all his moto races and then found family and community through snowboarding. At 20, he landed a gig at High Cascade Snowboard Camp, and from there came sponsorship and the creation of his brand Dang Shades. This one is a rags-to-riches story of perseverance. Scott Stevens asks the Inappropriate Questions

AJA DANG is an American TV host turned lifestyle blogger who has a genuine passion for supporting others to become their best selves.
Aja comes from a background in Broadcast Journalism of over 13 years. She worked with major companies such as Fox, the NFL Network, Maxim Magazine, and the Hollywood Reporter.
It’s not easy to depart from a secure career life like that and dive into the very uncertain and highly competitive arena of Social Media as an Influencer but Aja pulled it off both successfully with over 800,000+ in her growing community AND she’s done it staying true to herself and her passions.
She channels the knowledge and experience she gained from those earlier chapters of career life and infuses it all with her love for natural beauty and self-growth- all of which create the killer content in her YouTube videos.
Aja and I met at a beauty event for Burts Bees a few years ago and we immediately hit it off. There were a lot of commonalities between us, our passion for natural beauty, wellness, Hawaii being homes to us both but the dominating connection above all was that we both knew we were exchanging with someone who is truly being their authentic self.
What I love about Aja in addition to how she keeps it so real and especially as a Social Media Influencer, is that the content she creates is legitimately valuable and fun to absorb. She is quirky, funny, smart, sexy and she cares about the ways at which she can support her community to truly create a life they love, that feels great and is true to who they really are.
A few highlights you will learn from Aja’s experience in this episode are:
Navigating through the discovery process of your desired career path
How to get clear on which career path to choose
What helped to break free of outside opinions and trying to fit into a “category”
What was useful to apply for strength and courage when facing very uncertain times in her career
How she found herself in massive college debt and what she learned from it
Getting out of massive college debt and sharing her entire process via her YouTube channel
The value in operating from Authenticity in life and through your Social Media channels
How utilizing Visualization supports her to achieve her goals
Why being responsible for your own happiness is a must
Being impactful by creating valuable content such as: how to get out of college debt or learning self-defense with #Jiu-Jitsu really helps to grow a genuine online community through your Social Media Channels.
This conversation is so much fun and especially great for those trying to learn how to navigate authentically through life and through the lens of Social Media.
Aja is simply DOPE.
Enjoy.

MENTIONS:
Tandang made Survivor history and promptly sent one of their strongest members to become the first member of the jury. Coincidentally, the merge brings an end to Denise's losing streak. Perhaps the polarity of her curse has flipped. Penner appears to have really lost his sense of the game and appears doomed to go it alone in a non stop attempt to win all the immunity challenges between now and the finale. Do you think he can stands a chance?
Will the evil Tandang trio remain in control of the game? Penner said Lisa was a potential under the radar threat to win. Do you think she really stands a chance? How did Skupin and Jeff Kent improve their long term prospects in the game by voting out RC? What did you think of the merged tribe name: Dang Rain, get it? Who do you think will be the next to be voted out?
Here is the merged tribe after episode 7.
