Lisa encouraged us to daily write down 5 things that you are grateful right now in your life, and even take it one step further by asking yourself WHY you are thankful for the person or thing. And then write down 5 more things that you are grateful for that you desire to happen to become your future reality.

Echte petrolheads
“Sinds de jaren negentig ben ik organisator van offline auto-evenementen. Het eerste evenement dat ik organiseerde, was het Duitse Autosport Festival op Zandvoort in 1996 en 1997. Voor de derde editie verhuisde het festival naar Assen en daar zitten we 27 jaar later nog steeds. Later kwamen daar merkgebonden festivals bij. Op de circuits van Baarlo en Lelystad experimenteerden we met een Japanse dag, een Italiaanse dag, een Opel-dag en een BMW-dag. Met de evenementen richten we ons op echte petrolheads. Er komen veel liefhebbers op af die zelf aan hun auto’s sleutelen.”
50.000 bezoekers
“De Fast & Furious-films en de Need for Speed-games zijn ontzettend belangrijk geweest voor het aanjagen van de autohobby bij jongeren. Dat zagen we terug aan de bezoekers. We organiseerden legale straatraces waar autoliefhebbers op een veilige manier op het circuit tegen elkaar konden sprinten of racen. Samen met online lifestylemerk DAY1 organiseerden we afgelopen zomer DAY1 World of Cars in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Daar kwamen in drie dagen tijd 50.000 bezoekers op af. Europawijd zie je dat veel traditionele autoshows verdwijnen. Met DAY1 World of Cars brengen we auto’s, shows en actie bij elkaar. Dat is een concept dat aanslaat.”
Offline en online
“Bezoekers vinden de combinatie van mooie auto’s en beleving is belangrijker dan dure merkenstands en chique vloerbedekking. Onze opzet trekt ook jongeren aan. We willen het concept in de toekomst in andere landen gaan uitrollen. De combinatie van een offline-evenement en sterke onlinemarketing, bijvoorbeeld met campagnes op social media, zorgt voor extra aandacht. Naast World of Cars organiseren we twintig andere events. Voor een aantal evenementen werken we samen met auto-importeurs. Voor 2023 zijn we bezig met World of Cars in Expo Brussel. We kijken ook naar de mogelijkheden om het concept uit te breiden naar Dubai.”
