God has a Patriarchy. It is His order, priesthood, and word. Abraham chapter 3 helps define this Patriarchy with the parallelism of cosmology and spirits. This is the "DBR" of God. Kolob is simply the beginning of the order.

When Lehi says, "There must be opposition in all things," he is not speaking of just opposites. He is speaking of everything in between. This allows for order, truth, and hierarchy/patriarchy. The adversary wishes to "flatten the hierarchy" of God and to create a forced outcome, "Equity."

Prelude to Creation

Abraham 3 and Moses 1 are preludes to the Creation and Garden of Eden stories. They set the stage for these dramas and for the doctrines. Importantly, we discover that these chapters are descriptions of visions that both Abraham and Moses receive. Therefore, we can compare them to other scriptural visions for context and understanding. Kolob then really isn't that strange seen as a metaphor for Christ.

DBR, Order, Ordinance, and Ordain

Joseph Smith talks of the "deep water" of opposition becoming a "second nature" to him. He glories "in tribulation like Paul. The role and Doctrine of Christ are not as a liberator from earthly oppressors, but as a liberator (Savior) of over sin for personal progression of individuals, families, and Zion.  Baptisms for the dead are part of our participation in Isaiah 52:7, our "feet" are upon the mountain.

"Temple and Light"

As the Lord calls for His temple to be built, His language includes many of the themes of the temple including, light, creation, the Tree of Life, Charity, and the Doctrine of Christ.

Is the love of God unconditional? How does He "love" us? What does "meek" mean?

In this fast-paced episode, we immerse in the scriptures and bring together light, truth, the Doctrine of Christ, and the cost of love. We use Isaiah to inform Section 93 and Section 93 to inform Isaiah. We also bring in Abinadi and John's gospel.

In this Section, we arrive at the climatic DBR reference, "the Word." The JST shows us that the "Word" is both the "gospel" of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ Himself.

"The Law of God"

The Law of God in Sections 41-44 includes several of the Ten Commandments. A strong focus on the Law of Chastity. A great example of the "DBR" is given with the "word" and the "order" or priesthood. To be ashamed can be good but not shamed. "Keys" are equated to the Kingdom of God and another example of "gathering" as a hen gathereth her chickens is given.
