I have personal woes and it felt like life was kicking my butt but we struggled through it to make this awesome episode for you. This week we jump right into the main discussion of  Star Trek Picard Episode 4 "Watcher" & Episode 5 "Fly Me to the Moon," we have a brief chat about the "Halo" TV show and my absolute hatred for sci-fi space mullets. We pushed our Moon Knight talk for the next episode because I forgot to watch it...  We have a Coral recommendation of “Outlander” then she and I gush about "Bridgerton" Season 2 and I come to the conclusion that I just enjoy stories from that time period because we go into the new film “Death on the Nile.”  The big movie of the week is “Turning Red '' and how it is a film that I can  totally relate to and it is just so damn adorable.  –Nathan

    We Are Too Loud

    We Are Too Loud

Dale & Scott apologize for being too loud this week, but “Absolutely Fabulous” is coming back; Disney keeps sanitizing the classics; an all-star cast (and a cannibal) return for “Death on the Nile;” the buoy arsonists are caught; Oreos and Campbell’s will try anything; Goldfish grow; Ye Old Kayne is a bit jealous of big dicked Pete; Betty White lives on; Steve Harvey has had enough; Milton takes his stapler to space; some crazies’ll wait all day for a popcorn bucket; and, much more silliness.

Episode 242: The Box Office Evolution of Summer 2021

Episode 242: The Box Office Evolution of Summer 2021

Erik Childress and Sergio Mims began a conversation on their WHPK radio show about the summer box office last month and have been continuing that discussion from week-to-week. On this episode you will hear the evolution of that talk as they offer perspective on behavior during the pandemic, trends that began to form in attendance, how HBO MAX and streaming have messed with the dynamics and some thoughts going forward on Disney and the lawsuit they are now facing with Scarlett Johansson. It’s a little bit of a timewarp with predictions and expectations but one that shall continue through a year that feels almost like one big experiment as studios decide where to land going forward.

#300: Being Human on a Boat // Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie
