Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

The Knicks are hanging on by a thread and had to be bailed out last night against the lowly Pistons. We also have a norovirus update: Aly, our makeup artist, is out today with it. She was touching our faces yesterday so we are probably in the incubation period. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the controversial call at the end of the Knicks game. The Pistons head coach called it the absolute worst call of the season, a no call. Bills player Dion Dawkins was on Vlad TV and called Micheal Clemons a ‘bitch boy’. In the final segment of the hour, it’s NFL combine week so Boomer is excited to hear about hand measurements. Caleb Williams will not be there throwing. Gio said it sounds like it’s not over yet in Chicago with Justin Fields. Boomer insists it’s over and they are taking Williams. Boomer said Williams needs to go there as the Bears have assets and a great defense and are going to be good.

    Hour 2

Gio ran into Saquon Barkley at a golf course yesterday. He just said hello and didn’t ‘chat him up’. Boomer gifts Gio with a Ghost brand golf bag. Gio said he was golfing with someone who was a ‘brain dead loser’. Boomer said Gio is becoming a real golfer because he gets annoyed at other golfers now. A caller said he quit golf ‘after taking a goose’s head off’. A caller wondered about quarterback Bo Nix in the draft and that got us talking about Daniel Jones and the Giants future at QB. Jerry returns for an update and Boomer gives him a framed photo from the golf course when they played in Vegas. Jerry starts with the Knicks beating the Pistons with help from the refs ‘no call’. As you might imagine, the Pistons head coach was pissed. Erin Andrews tells a story of a Bucs player being nasty to her back in the day and John Lynch and Derrick Brooks came to her defense. Al has a few newspaper clippings from his days covering the Bucs and has a picture of himself on the sideline as Wayne Chrebet caught a pass from Curtis Martin. In the final segment of the hour, we replayed a PSA we heard about getting a nose spray in case someone overdoses in your house.

We took a call from a flight attendant who thanked Boomer for reminding people to tip. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about our dogs coming in to work tomorrow and the file the company has on Eddie for things he’s done wrong in the past (like bringing his dog in). Jerry starts with audio from last night’s Knicks win with help from a ‘no call’ by the refs. Bills player Dion Dawkins was on Vlad TV and called Micheal Clemons a ‘bitch boy’.The Moment of The Day involves Gio seeing Saquon Barkley at the golf course and Gio’s golf partner was drooling all over him. Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

One person was killed and multiple people were shot, including children, at the Chiefs parade. People took to twitter to get into a political debate about the situation. There were over a million people at the parade, and no matter how many police officers are there, if somebody wants to do something bad, there’s nothing you can do to stop them. We have the same situation in NYC. If somebody wants to do something terrible on the streets or in the subway, they are going to do it and it’s very difficult to stop. Gio said this is just part of living in America today. Nothing is going to change. Boomer talked about both sides of the gun debate and how neither side wants to give in at all. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Niners firing Steve Wilks, their defensive coordinator. Jason Kelce told Travis that he crossed the line when he bumped Andy Reid on the sideline. Jalen Brunson is happy they’re at the all star break as they have a lot of injuries to heal. Tiki Barber was asked which NY team is most likely to win a championship. Evan then does an over the top laugh. Jerry has audio of Dana White walking off the Howie Mandel podcast. Gio thinks it was a setup. It’s a Howie Mandel prank. In the final segment of the hour, Gio loves the meteoric rise of Frank The Tank.

    Hour 2

The guy who ran onto the field at the Super Bowl said he did it initially because he thought he could win $10K by betting that there would be a streaker. A caller said he’s been on Ozempic for over a year and he said it curbed his craving for fast food. Another caller wonders if the Chiefs parade shooting will prevent us from having parades in the future. Gio also brought up a podcast he heard where they were talking about things people used to wipe their butt with before toilet paper was invented. Jerry returns for an update and we started with a clip from the Warm Up Show where things got a little tense between Al & Jerry. Jerry has a story about maggots on a Delta flight because a passenger packed fish on their carry on. The Celtics beat the Nets by 50 last night. That’s right, 50. Travis Kelce talked about his reaction to the Niners taking the ball in OT. In the final segment of the hour, there’s a new Apple+ docuseries on the Patriots called, ‘Dynasty’. In it, Tom Brady essentially said he was done playing for Bill Belichick. Boomer said that Brady’s drive was the difference between him and everyone else. He wonders if Patrick Mahomes will have the drive to do it until he’s 45 like Brady did. Posts have been circulating of people hating the draft pick from when Mahomes was drafted.

    Hour 3

We talked about QBs having ‘the look’ in their eyes that tells you they are going to be great or not. A caller wonders if Daniel Jones has ‘the look’ (he doesn’t). Mike Francesa went on a walk with Frank The Tank and wouldn’t let him answer any questions. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Sal dressing up as Doink The Clown because he lost a bet. The Warriors and Clippers got a little physical last night. Isaiah Stewart of the Pistons was arrested for punching Drew Eubanks of the Suns prior to the game. Adam Silver said Vegas is on the list for NBA expansion. The Niners are moving on from defensive coordinator Steve Wilks. Travis Kelce said he and Andy Reid are in lockstep despite the blowup on the sideline. In the final segment of the hour, there’s a media beef between Bill Simmons and Pat McAfee.

    Hour 4

Frank the Tank calls in to talk about his weight loss while doing his walks with celebrities. Frank is a very outspoken Mets fan who some think is way too negative. Gio was relieved when he saw Evan on the street and he went a different way, so he didn’t have to talk to him. He likes Evan, but he wanted to go home. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio says he’s hearing a lot about pneumococcal pneumonia. Joe Montana has been doing commercials for a vaccine. Boomer also said he heard there’s a lot more STDs out there. Jerry starts with Jalen Brunson saying he’s happy with the All Star break because the Knicks have injuries and need rest. Ochocinco told Shannon Sharpe about getting his heart broken in grammar school. The Moment of The Day involves Mike Francesa talking nonstop while walking with Frank The Tank. In the final segment of the show, Boomer is upset that Evan Roberts was wrong about something yesterday. It was in relation to something having to do with an illegal man downfield in the Super Bowl. A caller said ED pills are increasing STD rates in senior communities.
