    Severe weather came through Southeastern Michigan Wednesday afternoon. And as we hear from WWJ's Brooke Allen and Tony Ortiz, residents are dealing with downed trees and power outages.

    Amazon is bringing a new twist to an old site in Detroit. The e-commerce giant cut the ribbon on a new fulfillment center on the city's east side today, located on the old Michigan State Fairgrounds. WWJ's Ryan Marshall reports from the scene.

Dr. Watson has learned through her studies and personal experiences how to move from surviving to thriving.

    This week, Authentically Detroit sat down with Kevin Davidson, the Director of Design and Fabrication at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.  


    Donna and Orlando spoke with Kevin about the 40th annual African World Festival, taking place in Downtown Detroit at Hart Plaza, July 14-16th. As a 40-year employee, Kevin has had the opportunity to experience every festival since its inception. While recording, Donna and Orlando also learned of Rev. JoAnn Watson’s passing and took the time to honor the life and legacy of the lifelong community activist.

As Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith led the decision to bring charges against George Floyd’s murderer, Derek Chauvin. Keith also explains some of the barriers to holding police officers accountable and how we can shift police culture.

As a doctoral candidate, her dissertation research examines how Black students make how Black students make sense of narratives constructed in college personal statements and how Black students respond to racialized expectations to narrate trauma in college personal statements.
