Jay Pandolfo on The Cam & Strick Podcast

On this episode, the boys are joined by 2 time Stanley cup winner with New Jersey and current head coach at Boston University Jay Pandolfo. Pando was an unsung hero of those dominant Devils teams, playing nearly 900 games and never taking a shift off while always doing the right thing, the definition of a 'Lou Guy.' He talks to us about having their head coach fired in Jersey while being first in the NHL, seeing Scott Stevens obliterate guys up close, a few of his biggest studs at Boston including Celebrini, Hutson and Tuch (MTL), Willander (VAN), plus much more. Before the interview the boys get into Kyrou and Berube, Rantanen calling out the father of his teammate, Brady Tkachuk getting frustrated and much more.

Adam Henrique on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Adam Henrique on The Cam & Strick Podcast

On this episode the boys are joined by an underrated stud who somehow already has over 800 NHL games under his belt, Adam Henrique. Playing for the New Jersey Devils as a rookie, he scored some huge goals, and helped them go on a deep playoff run in his first season. “Henny” had to face a reality of the modern NHL, as Devils faded out of competitiveness over his next few seasons. He signed a massive ticket before being traded to Anaheim where he is now a veteran with a few young studs in Zegras and Terry. He talks with us about growing up on a tobacco farm, fighting Jarome Iginla, playing with Getzlaf and Kovalchuk, plus much more. Before the interview, the boys keep the summer topics rolling, getting into the greatest inventions ever, bear attacks, personal demons, and more. We don't know what other hockey podcasts do in the dog days of the NHL, but we know how to entertain, as does Adam Henrique on this edition of the Cam & Strick podcast.

Holiday Special: The Traveller and the Devils

Holiday Special: The Traveller and the Devils

This episode was recorded and produced whilst on holiday in Madeira!  So it’s only appropriate that for this episode I found a story from Madeira.  This story was found online with a passage from the book ‘Madeira Folktales and Legends’ by José Viale Moutinho.

A rich traveller from Madeira stays in a local hotel and encounters the supernatural with a very different approach than most people would….. with consequences on his soul!

I would like to point out that I wanted to do a Madeira story in respect of the Madeiran people.  They often say here that Madeira is for everyone, and I’d like to honour that.

This episode doesn’t follow the usual format as it’s all been recorded on my iPhone rather than my usual set up.  The “chat” draws comparisons with another tale from Ireland.

Chris Wideman on The Cam & Strick Podcast

Chris Wideman on The Cam & Strick Podcast

On this episode the boys are joined LIVE in-studio by Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Wideman. Born in St. Louis, Wideman was drafted in the 4th round by the Ottawa Senators where he spent 4 seasons, with stints in Edmonton, Florida and the KHL where he won the award for best defenseman. He’s now a veteran on a young entertaining team mentoring young studs like Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach and more. We get into his recent VIRAL comments about the Leafs putting an EBUG in, his time in Russia, the infamous Uber video in Ottawa and so much more. Before the interview, the boys get into the Leafs blowing their load too early, the recent Subban controversy, and much more. Some people think the NHL draft may be rigged, but at least you can trust the fellas are authentic 🎰  Enjoy "Wides" on this edition of The Cam & Strick Podcast.
