Ken Page: Respect Your Gifts to Find Real Love
Are you single—or in a relationship—and keep falling for people who almost love you right, but not quite? There's a reason why that happens, and Ken Page has figured out the formula behind these deeper physics of dating.
Ken is a psychotherapist specialized in the search for intimacy, and author of the book Deeper Dating: How to Drop the Games of Seduction and Discover the Power of Intimacy (https://www.blinkist.com/en/nc/browse/books/deeper-dating-en).
In this episode, Ken explains why the parts of you that you're most embarrassed about—that you try to hide by being cool, low maintenance, or extra accommodating—are actually your most valuable gifts that will lead you to finding and keeping real intimacy. He also reveals what he considers to be the single biggest saboteur of healthy love, and talks about different ways in which we flee intimacy without being aware of it.
Whether single or in a relationship, this episode is for everyone who wants to foster their skills of intimacy, and deepen their bonds with themselves and others.

E230: Wandering Into the Fog with Abomination Brewing
Like man breweries, Abomination Brewing was started in a garage by friends Joe Feldman and Josh Arno. Word got around that they were making great beers and people started to ask them to brew beers for their events, finally growing to the point they needed to expand and become an actual brewery. The pair tells us that the name comes from the abomination that was their homebrew kit. Pieced together from whatever could be find, in the true spirit of the hobby.
Abomination is a nomadic brewer, partnering with Twelve Percent Beer Project. You've likely heard this type of arrangement referred to as "gypsy brewing", but that term can be considered offensive. Arno and Feldman speak very highly of their friends at Twelve Percent. In a couple short years they've been able to get their beer into 32 states thanks to the partnership. However, they are on the lookout for their own space. Feldman tells us a bit about that, but says to stay tuned for the full story soon.
As the conversation goes on and the beer keeps flowing we dive into the more important topics, like a heated discussion on the best type of hot dog and condiments. We talk long boils and blow the minds of Abomination when we tell tales of 24-hour boils which leads us to invent the "boil solera." With art being a big part of their brand we also discuss the labels and artists and find out there is a common connection between beer art and cigar art.
Abomination Social Distancing CollaborationA global pandemic can really put a damper on the community aspect of brewing. Collaborations allow brewers to get away from home for a bit and share and learn from other brewers, all while making tasty beers. Abomination Brewing was feeling down about the current state of the world (gestures broadly at everything) and decided to get their brewing friends together for Social Distancing Collaboration. The goal is to "brew a beer together, but responsibly apart," with each brewery putting their own spin on this DDH DIPA. Check out more info and the list of participating breweries right hurr.
We had a fun conversation with some great beer talk and a bit of going off the rails. Make sure to check out the show and look for Abomination at your local stores.

Ryan Becker is a Seventh-day Adventist ministry leader currently residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, he first moved to Tennessee in 2011 to attend Southern Adventist University. These early works deepened Ryan’s love of creating honest, open conversations regarding religion and social activism.

50: Socially Distanced Podcast
I Screwed Up…I Broke the Rules: Discover the Journey Back to Normal with Covid-19!
I broke the rules. I’m guilty. I attended a funeral. I hugged the widow who was married for 42 years, and I shook the hand of a son that lost his dad. I hugged a grandson that plays baseball with my son. He just lost his grandfather who he lived with until his death. I know I broke social distancing rules but I couldn’t help it. I guess I stink at this new reality. My need to show love overwhelmed my fear of this virus.

COVID-19: Re-Opening Schools
PUBLISHED: 17/05/2020
While it might seem like a breath of fresh air for families locked down in the pandemic, sending kids back to school is fraught with many hurdles.
Limbo best describes the situation for students, teachers and administrators when it comes to COVID-19 and whether it is safe to return to class. How do you physical distance with five year old’s? Let’s face it, at the best of times schools are bubbling with bacteria. The province of Quebec was ready to send students back to school after the Victoria Day weekend, but Premier Legault has walked that back considering Montreal is a hot bed for the virus
Since the lockdown, students have been able to access on line learning, but with only about five weeks left in the year, does it make any sense to return?
